We've all heard of Islamic terms like 'Jihad' and 'Sharia' and 'Caliphate', but I've compiled a list of some lesser known terms.
This is the TRUE ISLAM:
Dhimmi: Humans of second class, referring to the 'People of the Book', i.e. Jews and Christians. They enjoy a provisional lodging right under Islamic dominance, are however subordinated in their civil liberties.
Jizyah (Jizhya): The name for the head-tax under Islamic rule extorted to the dhimmies. This must be handed over in obsequious way (including impacts on the necks).
Taqiyya (taqqiya): Falsehoods told to prevent the denigration of Islam, to protect oneself, or to promote the cause of Islam.
Muslimah: Woman.
I haven't added any opinions to these definitions. These are the base literal meanings of the terms (ie. at the dictionary level)
Yes, but why do these words exist?
They go to the heart of extremist (and even moderate) Muslim agenda/
I'm not really a religious guy..
But here's why..
In the history, the muslims rule countries
which of course also includes non-muslims..
These non-muslims in are referred to as Dhimmi.
They live together with other muslims and are protected just
like any other citizens. They are treated fairly.
They're not really treated as second-class citizens.
Heck, I think the definition you gave isn't accurate.
Here's a more accurate one.. Taken from Wikipedia
Pretty good actually, considering that during those times.. when a king of a certain country with ABC religion takes control of another country.. ALL of the citizens of that country MUST convert to the ABC religion, or else face death, torture, expel, etc.A dhimmi (Arabic: ذمي, collectively: أهل الذمة, ahl al-dhimma, the people of the dhimma or pact of protection, Ottoman Turkish zimmi) was a free, non-Muslim subject of a state governed in accordance with sharia — Islamic law. A dhimmi is a person of the dhimma, a term which refers in Islamic law to a pact contracted between non-Muslims and authorities from their Muslim government. This status was originally only made available to non-Muslims who were People of the Book (i.e. Jews and Christians), but was later extended to include Sikhs, Zoroastrians, Mandeans, and, in some areas, Hindus[1] and Buddhists.[2][3] Dhimmi had more rights than other non-Muslim religious subjects, but fewer legal and social rights than Muslims.[4] This status applied to millions of people living from the Atlantic Ocean to India from the 7th century until modern times.[5] Over time, many dhimmis converted to Islam. Most conversions were voluntary and happened for a number of different reasons but forced conversion played a role in some later periods of Islamic history, mostly in the 12th century under the Almohad dynasty of North Africa and al-Andalus as well as in Persia where Shi'a Islam is dominant
Islam does not force people to convert to Islam.
As for jizyah..
We, in Islam has this 'tax system' called zakat.. Every muslim has to pay for this 'tax'.. In the historic times the zakat is used as the main source for government funding and all sorts of stuff (just like any other kind of taxes now and before).
But, zakat is only for the muslims. So, what about the non-muslims living in the country? Don't they need to pay tax to the government too?
Yes, of course! And the tax for those non-muslims that live in the country aka dhimmi is called 'Jizyah'.
Taqiyya.. Y'know what's called 'white lie'? Something like that.
Muslimah. Muslim Woman. This is the arabic term.
Muslim --> Male Islam People.
Muslimah --> Female Islam People.
Mu'allim --> Male Teacher
Mu'allimah --> Female Teacher
etc etc. just add 'ah' and you got the female version of the word.
And yeah, like LazyHippy said.. You really SELECTIVELY choose which terms to translate and show to other people..
Well.. Just watch this vid will ya if you haven't..
And no, it's not some boring 'preaching' stuff.
I laughed all the way. But it'll open ya eyes.
