The recipe for a $200K per year job

Ok well I guess I didn't need to implement any extra SERP building stuff as I am already on the first page for my longtail keywords! Booyahh!!!

Now, I'm just trying to set up my whole Advertising/Add your Listing page...

I just have a couple of questions, if I use the strictly 200k idea, should I sign up businesses on only a month to month basis? ie. Should I allow their local competitors to outbid them the next month and take over that page? I know it seems a bit sleezy on my part, but hey its business....right?

Your directory. You decide. There is no right or wrong way to do this. Pick something and if you gotta change it down the line so be it...

Also, what are you guys using for payment and payment processors right now? Is asking businesses to pay me via PayPal a bit cheezy and unprofessional?

Google Checkout
Paypal
Merchant Accounts

Any help is appreciated!!

This thread just keeps getting better and better.

I have setup a site, and am beginning to pitch it. I will tell you how the first week goes.

Good post, is an interesting idea, worth the try. Maybe if I got a little time.. I will let you know :)

I've had a lot of success getting squidoo lenses and hubpages to rank number one in google, is it realistic to use sites like these to get the rankings and then lease the space to small businesses, or should the sites always be created from scratch?

Your essentially relying on a third party for your business. Take full control and rank your sites.

I have my niches, leads, cold calling scripts, and everything ready to but, I can't get sales reps. I've tried craigslist for a few weeks and people e-mail me saying they are interested I give them leads and I never hear from them.

Kimbo advised rephunter but, it's kind of pricey and not sure if I should go through with it as this is my first attempt at a project like this.

are there any more place I can go to find sales reps. that will work for commission? I'm paying them well but, nobody seems to like cold calling.

I would do it myself but, I'm not good at sales besides I have a 9-5 and most all businesses that I'm targetting are only open during those hours.

Thanks

So I worked at this for literally 3 days with a combined 6 hours of work and I'm ranked #3 for my main keyword. Fucking brilliant.

Once I get my infrastructure set up I'll post on what exactly I did.

Thanks for the inspiration.

After what I would describe as a fuck load of hard work, I launched my site yesterday. I am actively looking for feedback on it, so don't be shy. I realize it's scant, but Im hoping to pay college kids $5 to review there favorite place or something to get more content.

Enigmabomb, nice looking site. One thing that stuck out though was the "Featured Posts". Should say "Featured Restaurants" instead.
Great layout! Wish you well with the site

Instead of paying $5 for each review, offer a $25 gift card to a restaurant out of a random drawing of reviews for that month. Load up a site promotion on facebook and tell everyone at ASU about it.

And change "by admin" to something else or remove it alltogether.

THAT'S A GREAT MOTHER FUCKING IDEA! Dude. Word!

Also, since getting the restaurant site working well, I started on my next endeavor:
