There was no oxygen when life first started. The life started which started turning CO2 to oxygen.

Now you're saying there is an irregularity because one of the first forms of bacteria (life) turned carbon dioxide into oxygen?

At least 1 million people murdered (some numbers as high as 3 million) in the name of the Christian god over a span of 1500 years.

There really isn't much difference between Christianity and Islam except maybe that, money and education has enabled the christians to bring their hate to forums instead of taking it to the streets.

The Crusades were done in response to Muslim expansion. We were trying to save the Jews as always, and didn't get involved till the last moment.

We also have nothing to prove or justify. Remember that we have no belief system in a religious sense. You have the belief system, the dogma and the centuries of fallacy. We simply don't believe. Ergo, we have nothing to prove or justify. You have the belief and you have everything to prove. Religion is not the default, atheism is. You don't get born into a religion. You get born an atheist and then have a religion and god chosen for you, which you're then pushed into believing.

We also don't have a solid, "set in stone" system or guide. We have everything, yes, everything, that is not religion (and even religion if we feel like it) to chose or not chose to believe or use in whatever way we want. Our opinion and our knowledge changes, we have no leader and we have no church. We don't need to make donations and we don't need to read books to learn shit about our opinion. We don't need to find elders and ask their permission. We don't need groups of similar people to congregate together and reinforce each others stupidity. We don't need to scare our kids in to a belief. We don't need to explain why we are right, or justify it (but we do because there's many like you who can't see beyond the end of their indocrintated fragile opinion).

Remember, we are the default opinion and only religion needs to justify it's position.

On the evolution topic, if ANY of you doubt evolution you need to go watch BBC Planet Earth. Especially the caves one (where the animals live on sulfer dioxide and eventually lose their eyes and pigmentation over time in the dark, or the silk worms create mucus webs and have glowing blue lights for heads to attract the insects, or where the snakes develop thermal sight so they can catch the bats in the dark).

There is no fucking way someone can watch that shit and still deny evolution.

Which ideas? Darwin came a lot closer to understanding the world as it actually is than anyone had before him.

Nature is cruel as fuck. Again, go watch those BBC Planet Earth videos. Its always some animal trying to eat another animal (or that animal's young). The entire animal kingdom is built on natural selection. That's not a wacky deadly idea to humanity. That's the fucking way it is. You can chose to ignore something this obvious because you don't want to believe we evolved (and not from Monkys btw, just a common ancestor) but you're lying to yourself and ignoring mountains of evidence gathered over hundreds of years in favor of a book that gets stuff wrong from the very first chapter.

Darwin didn't even know what a cell was, or how DNA undergoes random mutations. He didn't understand the how (to that degree), and he still got the overall theory largely correct. Now fast forward to the present, we understand much more of the the how, and people still deny the obvious.

100 years from now there will still be people who believe that evolution is false, just like there are still people today that think the world is flat. They will still be just as wrong as these beliefs have always been.
