Old news man.

The post is new - just today, Shoe did not reveal who and over what comments.

I thought the most likely comments were in the plentoffish post (which is old news), but I am not in the know.

So, if it is old news who is suing over what comments?

Why is it old news? Shoemoney posted today that there is a case going on!

Anyway, I see that we have to be careful nowadays in blogs, forums, etc. when speaking about someone else or you will be sued! I am wondering how it goes when someone (outside US) slanders a person from the US. Probably it's more difficult to open a case then when both persons are from US I guess... 'Internet law' is still a new subject and placing it in a international picture makes it even more complex & difficult!

Heh, if it is Markus sueing Jeremey... that'd be pretty entertaining. Jeremey bashed the shit out of him, made amends and had him on the show, then went back to bashing him after the show sayin' he was the worst guest he had and blah blah blah... now Markus is sueing him... classic.

lol...Shoe is loaded and could give a shit about this guy. It'll be interesting to see if the outcome is against shoe how he'll respond.

Jeremy never said it was actually him being sued... just the fact that the slander originated from his site. And what does being loaded have to do with anything? I think it's safe to assume that Markus makes just as much (if not more) as Jeremy, but that's trivial.

Anyway, all this is speculation. I highly doubt the suit is between the two.

All Jeremy is saying in his post today is he has to be in a deposition, he isn't the one getting sued. It could involve Markus, may be not. Its lame to sue people but sometimes in business it has to be done. If you listen to people on TV, radio, print, etc. when attacking someone they usually use words like "in my opinion." There is a reason for this, and it invovles the law.

Though it makes me wonder, why would Shoe care about how much other people make? He's making a ton himself...

Haha that's hilarious if it really was Markus that posted the comment about suing him.

What a dumbass.

fuck that

who gives a fuck. Shoe makes a killing but thats besides the point. It's freedom of speech and if Shoe gave his opinion to others that This guy was the worst guest he has ever had, it is an opinion and their is no laws banning opinions. Slander would be if he stated that the guy was a fag and sucked on 12 tubesteaks a day! or that he was a fag living in his moms garage and was a worseless piece of shit.

NOT that he was his worst guest ever. That could be a fact and an opinion. The epsiode earlier between the 2 was stupid. But to each their own. Any lawsuit on a matter of an opinion revolving around this matter would be worseless and if it is in fact true the guy pushing for the lawsuit is a fukn loser and should get away from his damn computer every once in a while and get laid. I hate whiney ass bitches who can't take a hit and get their fucking feelings hurt everytime the wind blows. Fucking pussys. Go back to flipping burgers at Mickey D's , turn the fucking pc's off and get a job as a janitor part time at the enquirer.:action-smiley-052:

VENT VENT VENT... AUGHhhhhhhhhhh

Thats kind of funny how he put up a digg button just for that post. People get sued all of the time, this really isn't very notable compared to something like aaron wall and traffic power or Shawn Hogan and the MPAA.

No one has said this involves Markus.. Jeremy understands how publicity works, but I don't think that involves staging things. Markus was legitimately pissed over the original post by Jeremy. I think most people are extracted from how all of these publicity tricks work. A lot of lawsuits are just a way of saying hey, look at me. A lot more effective than taking out a full page ad in the WSJ.

Hahaa yeah i just get pissed sometimes of the whiney ass people we have in our industry. I have been following shoe for a while and I remember the whole fiasco, I could give a shit if two people have an argument, I believe it stems creativity and motivation. But if I had a blog which I dont, which I may make one just to rant about shit that pisses me off ( rantingchamber.com souds like a good domain for that) I even thought about creating a forum a while back to make a place where everyone could go to and flame the piss out of people whos beliefs differ from their own. I have that domain ready to go as well, but i dont know two shits about running a forum..lol.

The issue with these 2 was that I believe you need to have thick skin to make it in this industry, I f you have an idea for a site and you build it , the next week you see 20 more sites that look and feel just like yours.... doesnt mean I need to get pissed and threaten to sue someone.

I dont have much else to say andrew on the whole matter,,, just that the whiney ass bitches need to go to work for Corporate America and leave the webmastering to people who Dont give a fuck and can take some flaming.

Stirring the press machine... Might make the news if someone gets sued over a blog comment. Always trying to make a buck/name :)
