Signed up 2 days ago and I love it so far. Takes away a lot of my time and the price is a bargain.

1 thing though: I work with a lot of international websites and the rankings for the Netherlands and Belgium seem to be way off the real results. I set everything right in the settings so the domains match the corresponding Google domains. Can you take a look at this or do you know what causes this?

This looks cool, but why would you want a report on anything hourly when it comes to SEO ? That stuff does not change hourly. And if you react or change your strategy because you see an hourly change you are going to be constantly chasing something that cannot be caught.

Every time you query Google, you have a chance to get a different datacenter. If you query it hourly, you can better see if there has been "any" change across the datacenters. Since the datacenters sync themselves every couple of weeks to get a baseline to work from for the next change, each datacenter could have it's own ranking for you at any given time.

If you only do it daily, you don't have a full picture.

Yeah. But since you don't know what data center you are getting you have no idea if you have improved or not. If I was 10 an hour ago and I am 5 now, the 10 may have from a place where I was 2 and the 5 may have come from a place where I was 8. So you don't know if you've moved up or down every hour unless you know exactly where the last hour came from. Does this SERP do that - does it tell you which datacenter your result is coming from?

No, it doesn't tell you what datacenter it was from because you really don't know. Google uses Java for their servers and those can shift depending on load to another location virtually and still appear as being the same server.

Regardless, if you're moving between 5 and 8 each hour as per your example, that's show you have movement, which means something is happening. That's more information you had before with only checking daily and running the risk of getting the same datacenter two days in a row showing 5 and then suddenly drop to 8 as the baseline on all when they sync and not know why.

In any event, I don't get caught up on hourly change, I just like to see something moving - positive or negative when I'm doing a new site or SEO strategy. If I see movement, I know it's working. I'm less likely to see that with daily updates.

To each his I own I suppose. Movement does not tell me anything I am doing is working at all. I could be doing something perfect and I could see my numbers go down because I am frantically checking every hour. And whether you are checking by minute, hour, day or weekl you run the exact same risk of hitting the same datacenter. This is definitely a case of where more information is not better information. SEO is not an hourly game.

I signed up for the beta to see what cool work he has done. But that is just one feature I can never see me using.

Migration to the new servers is almost complete. Sit tight for a couple more hours and we should have everything wrapped up. Your accounts will be credited for the time.

Good news is there will be a massive speed increase from the old servers ;]

Are you guys going to open things back up? I really need a daily tracking tool and this seems to have more promise than Spyglass or similar. (I signed up at the site a day or two ago)

If you haven't upgraded to an Essential account, please consider doing so once we are back online to help support our efforts.

Affiliate tip#57903: Upsell during site outages.

Any chance you'll add the ability to see which pages are ranking on the site for each keyword? Right now, it tracks the keywords you rank for on a domain, but doesn't display which specific URL is ranking.

Also, ability to check www OR no www like Rank Tracker would be nice. I also haven't been able to track YouTube or Ezine rankings yet. Is YouTube rank checking working for anyone?

The www option is already in the settings. Click the option cog on the domain you would like to modify then the "settings" tab then change "To "www" or not to "www"..." to your preference.

Youtube should work fine as-is. Ezine is in the works.

Rank Tracker has an option to "Treat www and non-www versions of the domain as the same site" and also has a "Case Sensitive Search" option. Currently you have to select www or non-www AND it's case sensitive. I normally use Rank Tracker with "Treat www and non-www versions of the domain as the same site" checked and "Case Sensitive Search" unchecked.

I'll send a bug report about the YouTube videos as I can't get them to work.
