Looks nice!

Thanks!

These are *most likely* the limits/prices we'll be launching with. I might tweak things further before launch. All the numbers and limits were reached by looking at actual usage by the different plan types and deciding to specifically cater certain plan types to certain types of users (Internet Marketer, Consultant, Agency, specifically). We also did a lot of customer interviews to get to these plans and prices and quotas.

When we launch, anyone will be able to start a 7 day free trial of any of the plans. It's a fully unlocked trial; you get full access to the plan you chose in that 7 day period. Anyone currently using a free plan will be asked to choose a plan to take a spin for a free trial when we switch over upon their next login...there won't be a free forever plan anymore.

You'll also notice we've done away with daily usage limits, it's all monthly based now. Easier for everyone.

I'm really excited by these new plan types and the limits/quotas in them. I think they fit the user personas nicely and make a lot of sense on both ends. And with the addition of deep backlink analysis and the serpIQ Keyword Intent system, there is so much data coming in for each analysis job that it's a damn steal for what you're paying.

Final Note: Current customers will be grandfathered into these prices of course.

happy saturday everybody. We're just putting the finishing touches on everything for launch this upcoming week, lot's of little low-hanging fruit type stuff.

Feel free to drop any questions or feedback in here, I'll be able to answer all day

sunday sunday sunday. Other than the Packers game in a little bit, I'm just hacking away with the guys to get everything ready for tomorrow. The migration should be rolling out about late afternoon tomorrow depending on database migration stuff.

Any chance you plan on adding the ability to scan/analyze more than the Top 10 results? A specific use case that I'm finding this would be useful for would be when doing rep management and your goal is to push up positive pages above any negative press. It would be nice to pick the highest scoring targets out of the top (just say) 30 results to send links to. Also, when the Google dance is happening and pages are coming on and off the front page, it would be nice to keep track of them.

Thoughts?

So this has been asked for in the past, and it's something I am interested in pursuing, I'm just not exactly sure how I want to go about it yet. While the Competition Analyzer tool at first glance looks like a solution for this, I think there almost needs to be a different tool setup for this entirely. The reason being the competition analyzer is built around the idea of "this is how the front page for this keyword all fits together" and adding more pages of SERP results to it might make things get a little funky.

Ultimately, I think what you're describing is that you want the ability to search, say, the top 50 results and find the most powerful results that are positive (like favorable reviews on a powerful site for instance) and then you can target those to front page them.

I think this would use a score like the current CI, but it should be in the context of a different tool, something better suited for reputation management.

We can certainly start thinking about such a solution, I'll see what I can come up with. It really would depend on demand from the market.

As a possible solution/heads up for the future, sometime in November we'll be opening up a public API for people to programmatically use all of our tools in their own systems. You'll be able to use the full competition analyzer, discoveries, on-page tools, etc. along with our Keyword Intent system (give us a keyword, we tell you the intent a second later), a platform/advertising/analytics sniffing API, and the ability to feed us just a single url to get the CI score for it. That might be way to pull of a rep management system down the road.

Launch Update

I'm just finishing up some landing page stuff today as well as finalizing the in-app tours. Once those are done, we'll be doing a test database import (we have a shit ton of data so we want to be safe here). Once that succeeds, we'll be taking down the current serpIQ for an hour or two, migrating over all of the data, then pointing the DNS at the new system away from the current system. We'll send out an email to everyone once that is done, and once that is life you'll also be getting your discount code email as well.

I'll be online probably overnight to help anyone out via the in-site chat once we launch just in case the transition catches people off guard. Development is not going to cease once we migrate over, our list is still long, we're just wrapping up the stuff we're planning to have for this new version on Day 1.

And we are live! We ran into a few little bugs along the way, but overall the deployment was a success. The rest of the week will be spent tightening up a few remaining items and then we're rolling straight into further development and expansion of the product.

Please email me at admin@serpiq.com if you notice anything odd with the new version...we did our best to test all possible edge cases but there's always unforseeable stuff with major updates like this.

Also, as the DNS flip is still propagating, you might hit a weird redirect loop. That should be gone soon, and unfortunately I can't do much about that. Just give me a little patience here and we'll be good to go.

So everything is up and running nicely right now. We sent out the discount codes a little bit ago so you should all have those by now.

I'm still fiddling with the background queue system to make sure everything is running nicely, so if you notice your keywords aren't processing or anything else that seems odd, please email me or IM me through our on-site chat and I'll take care of it immediately.

Digging the new landing page and the new design. Very slick. I'm liking some of the new features as well like the backlink analyzer. Great work.

Been rolling out lots of little bug fixes over the last few days since launch (oh the fun of putting a web product into the wild). Things are going smoothly so far.

We have had a few instances where keywords haven't finished processing for one reason or another. We've identified the main culprit and our rebuilding a portion of the backend system to properly handle and eliminate this issue (the TL;DR of it is that our workers are too fast, so we need to speed up a part of our backend to keep up with them). That should be live by tomorrow morning.

We're also going to be implementing a system on the backend that will allow us to automatically rerun keywords that were stuck for you and then notify you that it has been rerun. So if a keyword gets stuck, we'll fix the issue causing it to be stuck, then the keyword will be deleted from your backend, a new one will be analyzed for you, and you'll get a heads up email telling you things are fixed.

This might sound like a lot of stuff, but it's not too bad, and since we only have a failure rate for keywords that is like 1 in 1000, overall it's not too shabby. These two new systems will significantly improve the quality and reliability of serpIQ results into the future.

Finally, by early next week the following items will be added back in:

-keyword groups
-keyword filtering
-bulk keyword additions
-white label reports

Additionally, if you have an agency level account, you're going to start seeing more PDF report style options, and the PDFs are going to be getting a fresh new design template this week that is sexy as hell.

Overall, lot's of fun stuff. I'm basically online 24/7 nowadays so don't hesitate to reach out and let me know if you have any questions or feedback, I'm happy to chat.

is the discount still live?

I clicked on the link in the email and I got an error message:

Try running rake routes for more information on available routes.

you needed to have signed up for the discount code email before we launched. That page has since been taken down, that's why it's not loading for you.

Email me at admin@serpiq.com and I'll get ya taken care of.
