Here are a few of my guesses. And yes I tried Bing's new image search and it did not help.

1.) Shawshank Redemption - it looks to me like a scene from the movie when opera is blaring out all over the prison.
2.) Not sure, probably some war movie I'm supposed to know about.
3.) Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - it looks to me like Indiana is trying to heal his dad's gunshot wound with holy water from the holy grail.
4.) About Last Night - it looks like a typical Rob Lowe scene from one of his 1980s movies, but I could be wrong about the title.
5.) A Civil Action - it looks to me like a scene where John Travolta's character is standing in the woods next to a river near a bridge contemplating the split up of his legal team (who is waiting by the car) since he is near defeat by the big bad corporation known for toxic pollution.
6.) Not sure, but that looks like Chris O'Donnell doing his best Kennedy impersonation, but I could be wrong because Ted Kennedy has been in the news lately, maybe the actor is Rutger Hauer, who knows.
7.) Not sure, either Gandhi or Elephant Man, and I don't even think I've seen those movies.
8.) Unforgiven - I'm sure that's Morgan Freeman in a western.
9.) Killer Klowns From Outer Space - I'm sure this is a horror movie with clowns who kill kids.
10.) Not sure, I don't know who those two are, kind of looks like Kevin Costner.
11.) Not sure, could be Young Guns or another western.
12.) Not sure, no clue.
13.) Not sure, could be Yankee Doodle Dandy or State Fair but I'm not 100% sure those were in black and white, so I will keep searching.
14.) 8mm - it looks like James Gandolfini acting sleazy.
15.) Not sure, the guy on the right kind of looks like Tim Robbins from the Hudsucker Proxy but I don't know.
16.) Johnny Mnemonic - if not then it's something sci-fi.
17.) Not sure, I'm sure this is symbolic for death in a movie like A River Runs Through It or something similar.
