Ringtones VS. Crush offers

Ah! But there is one fatal flaw in your reasoning - you are assuming that they are reasonable people!

It's not really that surprising. After I realized that I'm just smarter than most people and their brains just don't function on the same level as mine, everything started making a lot more sense.

anyone know what's the deal with Ads4Dough crush campaign (purecrushcalculator) going down? Just got an email from smaxor today saying it's going down... my AM won't reply on AIM

That's my offer. I'm taking it down for now. Sorry about the inconvenience.

Dullspaces offers are good but there are a lot of others so don't sweat it too much.

Damnit....I've had it with random conversion drops

I gotta vent...
Is anyone else noticing really unstable conversion rates with IQ and Crush?

I have spent some time now, and several thousand clicks, testing these offers from many different networks (Firelead, YEP Revenue, A4D, Copeac, Funbox, etc.) and I'm not accusing the networks here of scrubbing. In fact, all of these networks are great to work with. Mike at Firelead and Jamie at YEP are really great guys!

But if anything, this must be an advertiser scrub issue. I have done rigorous split-testing between various offers across the different networks, but I always get the same suspicious result: something smells fishy. I could be wrong, but I get the feeling that many of the big iq/crush offers are ran by the same advertisers on the back end, just using different offer names and landing pages. And it seems to me like they are quick to scrub you if they don't like your traffic.

So here is what happens EVERY DAMN TIME I either start up my traffic to a new offer, OR when I resume the traffic to an offer after a 24-hour break:

  1. The conversions ALWAYS kick ass in the first hour, or within the first 500 clicks.
  2. I get conversions as high as 4% initially, EPCs as high as $0.30. ROI is fantastic from the get go.
  3. But then...when I get above 500 clicks, the conversions drop like a rock!
  4. By the time I hit 1000 clicks, they're in the toilet at 0.08% and $0.06 EPC ($0.09 if I'm lucky)

What the hell is going on?

I really can't see any other explanation for this than the advertiser "testing" the quality of my clicks/leads, and turning on the scrub-switch after a certain number/time. I know scrubbing is pretty common, and I can even accept some because it's just something we have to deal with. But these drops are so freakin' severe and obvious it's ridicilous.

And I know some of you will say that 500 clicks is too small of a number to base statistical judgments on, and that what happens is that I only see the actual conversion rate after I've hit 1000+ clicks. Well I beg to differ, because this is so damn consistent. Every fucking time I start a new offer, or resume a previous one - I get this same exact pattern. An initial burst of leads, followed by a trickle... Fucking hell.

It's so fucking frustrating when a potential $3000/day campaign goes in the shitter because of these very suspicious conversion drops.

There...that was my vent.
Note to self: I need a punching bag in my office, lol...

Yeah the same thing happens to me, with about the same EPCs as yours. I've let them run for a few days to make sure I had enough data but once they've tanked they never picked up again. Had a couple profitable ones but in the end I just killed everything and stuck to tones.

This business operates a lot on trust. In the end, you cant confirm what is legit and what is not..we are relying on the advertisers to tell the truth..and when it comes to greed, thats VERY hard to do. Its one thing to have a white label, and another to be just one of 1000's of pubs pushing leads to an offer that depends on converting those offers.
Lead based AM has its weaknesses, similarly to zips/email subs...with more and more pubs coming into the biz daily, advertisers have more options to be "greedy". I believe this is why you see alot of publishers starting networks, so they can profit regardless of outcomes. Pubs have it harder and harder by the day....

Up and Down conversion in mobile are definitely seen here as well.

P.S. has nothing to do with any network. Same offer rotated through 3 different networks will perform much differently every day.

Hey guys,

I see a lot of success stories with IQ. If you push it with the right network, the right support and most importantly the right offer and payout you will succeed.

Just like anything else that can potentially make you a lot of money, it requires time and effort to perfect your marketing.

IQ is a huge money maker for our affiliates and for us.

Will I guarantee that you will succeed? Fuck no .. But I am here, and I am endorsing the industry publically as being a huge money maker.

Your target demo must be horrible. .06 epc for IQ is very very low.

In theory you'd think it was a demo issue, yes. But so many people are having this issue it seems - not just me. And I'm not just talking about the guys who have replied in this thread. People have pm'ed me or IM'ed me about their similar experiences too.

All of us are targeting the right demos, and the conversions are really good for a while...until they suddenly drop.

Yep, i've been having the same issue. I've been running IQ & Crush since last october and had real stable epc for awhile. It hasn't been nearly as good for me as it used to be, but it was still pretty profitable.

Now over the last little while it is all over the place - Same demograph, but now the epc is 0.6-0.10 one day and 0.19-0.23 the next (which also ends up dropping after a few hours to around 0.13 or so).

Guys, I have something really good for IQ. I will be able to offer this until tomorrow. Msg me at "the Big L asdf" on aim. On this I can only help the guys that do 100+ sign ups a day on IQ. That's my only condition.
