Revenge - Absolutely Fucking SoupTastic

How do you get the bad check. Guerilla is right. Revenge wasted time but only if you're consumed by it. Only if you covet it. If it's easy to hit back, hit back. If it's hard, then keep that in mind that you, as nickster said, may be a carpet and need time to build up POWAH.

As for me,

10 years ago a vermin stole my money. Untill today hundreds of thousands of thieves conviction records are all over the internet. For 6 years I just keep "thinking" about it. It's when I do it I find happiness.

Since then I write a book on gene pool survival guide. Anyone cross my path will have all their kind "reduced" in numbers. That include pro marriage religious bigots.

Nickster is right. There is a reason we want to hit back. If we don't we become a carpet.

At Soupyone: Do what makes your life better, not what makes another person's life worse. The two goals are rarely on the same path.

i'm assuming you are in south florida, so if you want to get him for fraud and need a good criminal attorney, hit up greg ross.

there are some real scumbags down there in this industry. if you have the guy admitting that he intended for the check to bounce then bring him to court.

If the check bounced (he didn't stop it) then just report it to your local district/states attorney as fraud and then turn it over to your lawyer and collect triple damages plus fees (how it works in Illinois- most states are similar).

It's a simple legal thing, mate- no sense getting all worked up over it- file it and move on. A collection attorney shouldn't charge but a few hondo plus filing fees to collect that, and it fucks him up pretty well to boot.

Or, just take it as a lesson that checks are a BAD THING.

This. If you've got the means to get him on this legally, without getting your hands dirty, that would be the route I would take.

gary thiem his ass

I did the site only cause I knew the chance of him getting to me legally or through hands on retribution was slim at best. If I lived in the same country I'd be hesitant to put myself in a position where I could be done for libel or have the crap beaten out of me.

It was fun though.

sorry if I'm covering the obvious here, but I didn't see it addressed in the OP.

What communication has there been with the client after the check bounced?

I don't know ya, but honestly, most of your posts around here form a respectable opinion of your business intellect.

This post is not on par with that... I'll just leave it at that.

How many new deals can you close in the time spent chasing this fuckwad? Maybe finish challenge #2? Soup mother fucker, soup.

(not that my opinion really matters, just some dbag on a forum, but the only reason I paid attention or am even posting in this thread is because I'm in Orlando and was considering coming the CF or SF get together to meet some of you cats...kinda hard to do from a concrete box or if you stay to busy chasing time pits.)

Email only.

I let a manager deal with them. They kept on saying they're going to make good, until I told them "don't bother contacting us. We'll contact you".

I'm going to take this guy down every way I can legally.

Most people aren't successful because they don't have balls.

Internet entrepreneurs tend to hide behind their computers and regardless of what they do or how successful they are their interaction may not go any further than an email or forum argument, but newsflash: IRL you need to go for the throat if someone crosses you.

They cost me money so I'm going to draw blood. Plain and simple.

It's about Principle and maintaining your respect.

I don't see the logic of taking on additional costs because of a sunk cost. We're hardwired to seek revenge. Thousands of years ago, I'm sure it served our survival and replication needs well. But when it comes to business, I don't see how revenge is going to help your bottom line.

1. To collect, several thousand dollars are owed.

2. Because it sets an example with the people who are watching, let's them know that you will not be run over.

3. Because it feels great.

You think if you hurt his business he's going to pay you? Come on dude.

In all likelihood, nobody is watching.

No, I think it'll hurt his business if I get the IRS, department of labor and attorney General's office to take a look at everything else he's doing below board.

I'm done discussing it. I already hired an attorney today. NOW, I'm letting this waste my time.

Revenge is unprofessional and stupid.

Pay a local attorney to write them a letter and give them a call telling them if they don't pay, you will sue them for _________ due to _________.

This approach has never failed me in getting paid fast. I've had naive non paying customers who bought websites/ppc services call me to apologize and create excuses after I've had an attorney contact them on my behalf.

After you cash a valid check from them you direct them to the paragraph in your agreement where it says "either party can cancel at any time" and you drop them as a client. This is your revenge that wont get you sued.

Nailed! Just do this, dont waste time in revenge. I understood one thing that more we think bout revenge and crap, we waste more time and can't concentrate on the business properly. I was fucked over for $50000, suing them is prolly waste of time since am outside USA.

Will you lend me $50K? I promise to pay you back :)

Seriously, if someone stiffed me for $50K I would literally destroy them. And when I say literally I mean literally.

Dude if you live your life allowing people to fuck you over without retribution you will end up with nothing cause there is always someone out there who is going to take anything of value (including your woman). You need to grow some balls and kick some ass.

The local investigative reporter may be interested in this scammer. That would def ruin this guys day...

A crime is a crime. There's a difference between justice and revenge. Personally, I go for justice. If someone tries to commit a crime against you, then they should be punished, not only to learn a lesson, but to serve as an example against others contemplating the same thing.
