He may do good work, but his service is lousy. You just don't take payment, give 2 deadlines, miss both of them and not respond to e-mail or pm. It's as unprofessional as it gets.

I can't quite believe I am writing this after my last exchange with Geekcognito. The second to last paragraph he wrote on his last post on the 11th May states quite clearly that if I like what I saw with regard to the first batch of articles then he would have the rest to me (another 40) the same day or on the 12th. Have I heard from him since? No. Has he responded to email? No.

I am prepared to wait for quality work but I am not prepared to be lied to and fobbed off. I am now angry. If I don't recieve what I have paid for or a refund less the cost of ten articles that he has already supplied, I will make a complaint to Paypal.

I've already had to go that route with paypal.

He's logged into the site and hasn't answered my pms or e-mails, so I can only assume that he's intent on ripping me off. It's only $125 so it's not the end of world, but the principal of it pisses me off. His bandito avatar sure is fitting.

Hey guys, I don't think that he's gone AWOL. Content writing can take a bit longer than expected, especially considering that writing 60 articles on the same topic can become redundant and a challenge to keep unique.

Writing anything is a funky proposition. I can sit down and write for days and days on end, no matter what the subject matter is almost all of the time. Which is why I am able to write content for WF members at a fair price and in relatively high volume so consistently. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones since I'm able to do this.

However, like I imagine any "art form" is, if you do it too much you can burn yourself right out. And I did that at the beginning of last week. I wrote for 16 hours straight for 3 days. Content for others and content for myself. I was also in talks with a shitty publisher who wanted me to write a shitty novel for them until I turned the shitty offer down because it made me feel...well, shitty.

I had to walk away for a couple of days. I didn't visit WF. I didn't even turn on the computer.

I couldn't really email someone and say "I know I said I'd have articles for you Saturday, but I'd rather piss glass than slug through them and give you a shitty product." Plus, when I initially got up from the computer, I didn't think I'd be away for so long. But I had to go see what sunshine looked like for a couple of days.

The blow I took to my reputation is well-deserved, though. I should have said SOMETHING. Ferraristi has been a great guy to work with and so was ThomasCrown initially. He doesn't know me from Adam, so I can't fault him for thinking I'm a thief for accepting his payment and not meeting the deadline I gave him.

But I had to make a decision. Either give them a shitty product and attach my name to it or walk away for a bit and come back and give them what they paid for, possibly taking the hit in this thread. I chose the latter.

Thomas, by the time that I saw that you had cancelled the Paypal payment, your work had been done, however. If you haven't already gotten it written somewhere else, I'm willing to send it over for a fraction of the original cost to make amends. Ferraristi, if you're interested I will work out a similar plan for you as well.

I know as well as anyone that people will rip your ass right off online and not think twice about it. I admit that I have been late with my work at times but when it was delivered, it's as good or better than promised.

And I've worked out a system so that this never, ever happens again. I'm still around, still taking orders and still as trustworthy as ever.

Thanks, WickedFire members.

Geek, I only ever wanted what I paid for, so all I need is for you to send the last batch of 20 articles. I don't want them at a knock down price or anything as I am willing to pay you for your work.

For the record I didn't go to Paypal with any complaint or anything as you still had people backing you up on here and sure enough the second batch of articles turned up the next day.

To be honest, if you're willing to write them, I'm still willing to buy some more articles off you in the future. Now I know how you work I will probably be a lot more relaxed in the future and send you a nudge privately every now and then rather than resorting to posting in the forum.

I ordered some articles from Geekcognito before the "burnout" described above. I was a little worried by the lack of contact over that period, but maintained my optimisim.

It's don't really need to say because it's already been stated on a number of occasions, but the standard of the articles meant they were more than worth the wait. Fantastic stuff. It makes my job a lot easier when I find someone that I can work with like this.

Thanks very much.

I got all mine and order more. Hell, this guy is just like fire. So, don't count the sheep too quickly.

Hey WF! I wanted to keep every one informed with what's been going on!

More college-educated, skilled writers!

I wanted to let everyone know that I have assembled a team of college English and Communication majors to help handle orders from now on to keep up with demand.

Each of these writers were hand selected by me. These aren't your average "party all summer' college students, either. Each of them has been published at the very least in collegiate newspapers.

I will still edit ALL articles personally for optimal quality. I will also continue to write as well.

New Services Available!

Additionally, I will update the first page of this thread but I want to go ahead and point out some services that I've been doing for a lot of WF members that I haven't made public in this thread.

All of these services will be performed by me ONLY at least until I fully train someone else to do them RIGHT as they all require a higher level of skill and knowledge than traditional site content.

Sales copy/landing pages - My words convert, plain and simple. And to ensure highest quality I will spend as much time as needed on IM or even on the phone to make sure that you get the page that will make you the most money. Price dependent on job. PM or IM me for details.

Newsletters - Put that email list to good use and let me direct your customers to where you need them to go. Price dependent on job. PM or IM me for details.

Press Releases - This is huge. Everyone knows that press releases are a stellar way to create backlinks to your site as well as create the potential to get picked up by traditional publications. PM me for details.

Ebooks - Yeah, yeah I know. Not the "get rich quick kind" but there's a huge market for all other niches out there. Pop your affiliate links in there after I've written a book to your specs.

Reports - Like ebooks, only smaller. Around 20 pages or so.

Blog posts - You blog about your dog, your bad day, and your girlfriend yelling at you in your personal blog. Let me worry about your money makers. Typically, content rates apply at 2.25 cents per word.

Here are some other ideas to kick around:

I've written a couple of these reports on how your customers can "get even" with companies for WF members with positive feedback already.

Andrew Wee is on to something. I'll help you bring your own version to fruition.

Concentrate on other things while my team blogs for you. I may be launching some monthly specials especially for bloggers.

Content Rewriting
- Got some old content you want to recycle? Borrowing someone else's? Don't worry, I won't tell. Let us rewrite it at a reduced rate. I guarantee that they will be 100% unique.

That's it for now. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

congrats bro, if you're ever in San Fran let me know I can hook you up with my gay college roommate who lives here.

Well, that explains your active sex life during college.

I know he got a lot of work these days but I got the report I ordered damn fast.I read it and...he has really great ideas! If you´re looking for a guy who writes very good articles and delivers them on time, then this is your man!

geekcognito: I´m still sorry for beeing too late on AIM that day. You know that beeing too late is the worst thing that can happen to a german when meeting with somebody from a foreign country. I´m still banging my head against the wall for that. :anon.sml:

You rock,man
