And since I'm at it: if there are no jobs for anyone, how come most of the folks on the jersey shores and floirda/Alabama beaches that work on the boardwalks and beach shops are from Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, etc.?

People who immigrate here understand the opportunity this country provides. Americans are lazy fucks for the most part.

Not like that here (FL) or in Jersey

Anecdotal again I know - BUT - Ocean City, NJ - go along the board walk into the ice cream shops (Kohr Bros), clothing vendors, etc. (Eastern European), Orange Beach, Alabama at 4 different beach shops, 2 ice cream places and local store cash registers (Eastern European). Had the same experience in Destin.

Asked a couple of them and they are only here for the summer...

I'm pretty sure none of those people are hard-working immigrants. Young Europeans just like coming over and spending their summer on the beach. It's a fairly popular thing for them to do.

The USA isn't encouraging or teaching entrepreneurship like it used to. More regulation, more forcing people into being middle management. Teaching kids to fear risk, be coddled through life.

create a friendly business environment so that people can go back to work which therefore grows tax base

I only have smartass answers to a,b,d but this one is easy: start making shit again. Export more goods than we import. End unemployment, lower minimum wage, lazy fucks go straight to the sweatshops and start earning all that free money they been taking out of our pockets for the last 20+ years.

Sell the rumour, buy the fact.

My prediction, there will be a big selloff in early trade on monday but it will recorrect itself and the market will close higher (maybe not on monday itself - but by end of weeks trading). This is of course assuming no more bad news comes to light.

I'm going to be buying on the way down on monday, wish me luck :).

European debt crisis could crater your plans. Could be some breaking news in the near term.

But difficulty and failing is bad!!! We can't have our children thinking that sometimes they might fail before they succeed. That would just totally ruin their self-esteem!

Your points aren't lost on all democrats. Maybe on the dumb liberal part of the party but us moderates I believe are inclined to agree with a lot of this.

this is so true, but i'd think the reason parents do that is because of the current state of the economy.

back in the 60s and 70s jobs were so easy to get that people wouldn't have to worry about starting a business and failing.

now if you start a small business and you fail you're SOL.

good thing about affiliate marketing is that it's low cost, high rewards, and all that good shiz

Asian Market is taking a hit right now, and gold at 1700. Looks like we're goin back to some kind of gold standard in the next few month/years.

The futures appear largely unaffected by the ECB's announcement about intervening in Italy and Spain. They rose for a little while, but are back to being down close to 300 again

Covered Options on the way down, and up. The volatility will make some serious cash, for those in the know.
