Curious...

A PR7 site, how much would banners / links sell for?

Authority site, google news source.

Not a google news website but 18 month ago, I was in contact with a chinese webmaster who sell links from chinese governement website (if I remember, regional government website). So those websites had some authority.

There were PR7-PR8 and he asked between $300 and $500 for a footer link.
You have to scroll a little bit after the last line of the homepage to see your link and he had already some some casino links there.

I wonder what a link from a PR9 site would cost... I feel as if if the site gave too much of their home page's SEO juice out, it'd decrease in rank rather quickly... although it does depend on a lot of other factors, too. Maintaining that PR would be extremely difficult.

I don't pay the same price for every PR 9 Sites , i can pay $20 for a link from PR9 Site and i can also pay $1k+ for link from PR9 Site , the price differs very much depending on the backlinks profile and the quality of the site , PR - I don't give a shit about it .

I completely agree. Recently I had a discussion of the exact same nature. There will always be a different in price when comparing the quality of a link or any product or service in general. Simply getting the cheapest != the best quality.​
