Simple, effective, and nice. Minus the ugly ass wires popping out x 3.

Thanks.

Yea, one of these days I'll do something about those wires. The stand that I use should allow me to pass the wires through it.

I didn't notice it until now, but what the hell is going on over on the projection screen. I can't tell if it's some guys cock or a dude with his hands on his head? I'm really hoping it's the later.

wtf.jpg

was watching recreation nation on discovery channel and it was the episode about the demolition derby he was taking his helmet off after he got out of the car

I got the inspiration for it from the lifehacker.com feature (which I suspect you've seen) but soon decided that to do it "right" (as I wanted) I'd just have it built from the ground up.

It's on a 4800psi 18" deep slab, fully permitted, fully insulated, finished, the same windows that are in my house were put on, singled to match the house, painted to match the house, steel door, data distribution (ethernet/phone/directv) to 4 points in the office via in-wall distribution panel which also houses a 4 port switch), alarm system tied in, low voltage dimmable track lighting, doorbell wired to chime so I can hear people out front, and heated/air conditioned. Rain gutters are also now on (not pictured) and tied into my yard's site drains.

It's pretty much the ultimate man cave.

Few pics though I'll get some recent ones showing the 32" tv mounted, shelving mounted, blah blah blah.

The pics make it look tiny, but dimensions at 15x10' - ceiling is 10' in the center and 8.5' where it meets each wall, it's downright spacious for one person (in fact most corporate offices I've had were in the 10x12' range)

The outside pics are during the (extremely messy) construction process, landscaping will be tied in shortly the match the rest of the yard.
That is completely awesome and almost exactly what I want to do. Classy job. What is your keyboard?

HA i think we have the exact same couch.. basically you have my setup but i dont have a desk im usually on the laptop in the living room.. I feel to isolated and cooped up in my bedroom at my desk (its a small ass room) after seeing all these setups im a little inspired to rent a bigger place and build a dedicated office...

Hey thanks, keyboard is just an wired apple aluminum slim keyboard that came w/ the imac.

Makes switching between that and the macbook much easier since they both have the same feel.

haha- didn't even see that in the pic.

It's a m-audio axiom 49 in that case going to a m-audio fasttrack pro USB, monitors are KRK Rokit 5's

LOL! I was talking about your music keyboard but there was no way you could have known that. My bad.

I've got an m-audio controller too although I just swapped it for a MicroKORG. Who needs octaves anyway!

Do you do much musics? I've set up a dedicated studio space now so I can actually get some IM work done. Musics is too distracting.

been too busy to screw around with anything music related for the last year or so. however I like to for fun.

Jinxus, I haven't seen those square type monitor seen 2005. Alas, wait for LED monitors to drop in price before you upgrade :]

Here's mine ...

And after learning about the true long-term consequences of sitting on your ass all day, I duplicated my set-up in a spare room with a treadmill ala turbostation. Still getting used to it and only using it a few hours a day, but loving it so far.

Just gotta do something about all the wires ...

^^ i like it except the brand treadmill you got, when you upgrade get a TRUE brand treadmill, most solid thing I have ever seen.

Yeah I bought it as a package cuz I was lazy. But the treadmill does suck. I'm already looking to upgrade it. I have a smooth treadmill that is relatively quite so I might get one of those and rip it all apart. You don't need anything fancy for a setup like this. The shitty Weslo it came with would actually work, but it's just a little too loud for me.

Just bought a LG Flatron E2350v LED monitor. Thin and sexy, but the colors are off. Was going to get the Samsumg LED but the salesguy mentioned that the LG's arrived.

Was under the impression that LED provides better color accuracy than LCD.
Might take this thing back tonight if the colors stay off.

Can someone suggest a 23" or 24" monitor that has good colors for web design?
