NEW Facebook Ads

why were your accounts disabled...

i was disabled because of having high budgets and activating and pausing ads... i kid you not

Wren't you going to PM me?

how did you run up extra impressions, and how high did you set the budget exactly?

From what i'm getting from it he had high budgets and high bids, high enough that there was some serious lag in between dropping budgets/pausing and the traffic actually come to a halt. From personal experience their system doesn't apply these overages to your account and simply cuts off charges exactly where your budgets are set.

Basically, you can somewhat game the system using this but they're obviously watching it like a hawk, hence his situation. A simple solution would be for them to actually pass along those charges but they're probably avoiding that because of the sheer volume they can provide partnered with a large group of inexperienced advertisers. I'm sure this is one of the reasons for the incremental budget increases (obviously along with risk management.)

nope... I had campaigns set to 10k and due to daily lead caps on certain campaigns id have to keep pausing or activating depending on quality...

i'm on aim jsphfcll instead of pming me... still being looked into so rather not post whats going on

Ok, so I've been banned around 8 times before on facebook, the first time ever getting banned I was promoting bizopp and after netting around $3000/day for 3 days they banned me, which totally fucked me over forever it seems. After making new accounts and getting banned several more times over the course of the past few months they finally permanently banned all my cards I have been using from being able to be put back in as a funding source on new accounts.

About 2 weeks ago I had my friend get a credit card and did all of my facebook work at his house so they wouldn't see it was me from my IP address (I have never even logged on any of my facebook accounts at his house). I was promoting gaming offers, specifically Dark Orbit and got around a 300% netting around $750 a day. This lasted for around a week and they banned me. The best part is, they never even sent me a warning e-mail or anything, all of a sudden I was running my ads then I pause them and an hour later my whole account is disabled. I then made a new account using my friend's card again and they banned me within 2 days and now am unable to put his card in again.

WTF IS WRONG WITH FACEBOOK?! I could be sending them $10,000 worth of traffic a day by now if they just let me advertise there, is there someone I can contact at facebook that actually responds, I have tried emailing affiliates@facebook.com and a couple reps that I have talked to in the past and haven't gotten 1 response from anyone. This pisses me off to such a great extent I can't even explain how much. I know affiliate marketing is all about diversity and practicing new traffic sources, and trust me I have been trying that the whole time but FB is the only traffic source I can get a campaign working for more than 3 days before it dies off.

What do I do, do I keep trying to get new cards from friends and such and see how long it takes them to ban me everytime? Or is there some way I can get in contact with someone at facebook that deals with accounts so I don't get fucking banned for following their guidelines.

Sounds to me like you are leaving something out. Personally I know this is the only method that works to save yourself an ass load of money when you get wind of large media buys on Facebook.

Can anyone else verify a banned account for pausing ads?

Wow the approval times over super bowl weekend are fucking horrible... 1PM Monday and still waiting for ads from Friday morning to get pushed through.

Why is the pause feature there if they ban you for using it? Contextualize your posts, people.

A couple of ads I got approved yesterday have a .110% CTR which would normally give me a shitload of traffic, but they're barely getting any impressions. It's only spent like $15... is this happening to anyone else?

Traffic (U.S.) was down for me all day yesterday but jumped up around 9:30PM (GMT -5 Eastern) to normal activity. I was getting around .126% CTR during the day but there was just no traffic to see the ad. My guess is either a big media buy in paying out the ass for CPM, or there just weren't a lot of people on Facebook after their super bowl parties :2drinkspit:

I have been wondering how long Facebook will be able to sustain traffic at a price that is worth using the site. Its already becoming horse shit for certain demographics in CPM... And I don't remember the last time I ran a CPC campaign. So how much longer will the cheap traffic hold out...

They recently redesigned the front page (again), and the civilians are moaning and griping. When loading the homepage yesterday there were no posts available at various times, so the changeover may be why advertisers are having problems with impressions.

I change the info in my profile to check out ads targeted to various demographics. Has anybody tried this?

One thing I could use from FB is folders to storage expired campaigns I want to keep.
