I think it's right to highlight the fact that this may reflect badly on his family, but we shouldn't be the ones posting direct links to their Facebook/InsertAnyOtherSite accounts here. As the saying goes, you can choose your friends....
It's owned by another guy that's getting covered in lawsuits right now.
Well, if he claims the other site is his, does that mean we should continue the assault until he takes that one down too ? Should be interesting to watch. :ak:
strong this
With all the bullying and suicide shit going on you have the nerve to do something like this?
I think we as a community should be targeting sites like this and making the owners' lives miserable. We should use our knowledge to contribute to putting an end to and at least preventing some bullying. Many of us are older and have kids and don't take too kindly to shit like this. And you younger cats will grow up in a few years and share the same opinion as us
It's not his It's a smoke screen.
Oh good, the WF special ops finance team is here.
I can get a charter to Dayton if that's what it takes.
It's not his It's a smoke screen.
I'll put it up.
It's a shame that this site is going to get a lot of press without actually going down - I hate the fact that the people on the site are possibly going to have their pictures/lives more damaged as a result of WF.
Who knows, maybe an angel will sort that out.
While I don't like the guy's behavior, I gotta hand it to him for being persistent. If he applied it to a proper business, he'd be a fucking banking decently in no time. Meh.
I was thinking about this a bit more from the legal aspect. So far all the talk is whether he's liable for content of user submissions with regard to harressment, bullying and sexual assault.
Isn't the OP always at a massive risk of being guilty of distributing child pornography. I mean, most the Facebook profile pictures linked from the posts are of people whose highschool graduation years would put them at 18 or 19. Given that this is an ex/boyfriend revenge site, chance are that a good deal of the photos are older, and with the overall number of submissions there would be a very real chance of someone being 16 or 17 at the time some of the photos were taken.
And if that's the case, wouldn't all it take to prove it be to contact the young men and women (very easy when he's linked to their Facebook pages), ask them to look up the metadata on the original versions of the photos, which being that most were taken with cell phones will almost certainly include the date. Match any photo to the date taken being before the girl/boy's 18th birthday, and you've got your proof. Seems like a very simple task for a prosecutor or motivated good samaritan
I'm far from a legal expert, so maybe I'm wrong on this. Anyone with a better understanding of the law have an opinion on this?
It's on.
IceToEskimos PM me and Grunin with what you need.
It's how important split testing is - And that is what I did.
Yep, that's the problem IsAnyoneUp had. Still, a bit harsh dropping child porn manufacturing (If anyone from the UK is under 18, then even copying something on your own HDD is classed as that) charges on someone for essentially running a scraper site and taunting some celebrities, even by WF's standards.I was thinking about this a bit more from the legal aspect.
