MSN Adcenter Bans for Running Grants

All my campaigns were paused when they laid the ban hammer down on my account. I did have acai and grants campaigns but if they're not running, what's the harm? I would rather see a note from them warning me that they'll shutdown my account if I don't comply etc instead of just shutting shit down without warning.

It's amazing how these companies can treat their "customers" like such shit at the bat of an eye. Us affiliates are definitely considered a lower class customer and are basically a dime a dozen to them, even if you spend tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars a year with them. If you received this treatment anywhere else in the service industry, it would be on the news and every type of media out there about how fucking stupid that company is. I know some of us promote some shady shit like rebills etc which you can't really compare to anything else, but I just hate having to bow down and suck up to these fucking networks just to be able to give them your business.

Just called adcenter and they've drawn a pretty grey line. The rep said many of the accounts that were banned had it coming for a long time but also admitted that a few probably didn't deserve it.

I believe the policy, or I should say RICO Law, that they are enforcing here is "Advertising that includes unproven claims or endorsements is not allowed." This includes claims on the merchant's site as well.

Let them ban all affiliates and they will go broke. That is why they just pick a couple here and there. They are just cock sucking whores and need competition.

This isn't related to the stimulus stuff. They are cracking down on grant sites in general that make it seem as if users can sign up and get free money. We've been going back and forth with our rep and their editorial team to get something that they are comfortable with running, and we had to make a couple of changes to the offer LP.

i just called them and the woman on the line wasnt really aware of this whole stuff. they were still waiting to hear back from the "billing" department. I've spent enough with them and my grant shit didnt have obama nor "stimulus" on it. Whatever. And I thought msn was money-hungry..

no wonder, they probably lost some nice spending customers within a few hours. Im the guys who are still left are banking off this

i gave customer support two emails and a phone call, something abut a billing issues, i hope they unactivated my account soon, this is bs how they just deactivated your account without any warning i'm glad im not the only one thats having this problem.

Nice i got deleted but I owed them like 300

so i win bill

I was thinking that too except they still needed to charge me for around $5k. I'm assuming that will still happen tho... but one can hope they "forget" :cool-smiley-008:

google started slapping today. I wonder if the offers or landing pages are the culprits. Seem like it was a random strike for the other search engines.

I got a love letter from msn today:

Thank you for contacting Microsoft adCenter Support.

As you may or may not be aware; the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) recommends and supports the suspension of advertisements that may be deceptive and/or fraudulent regarding, but not limited to, government grants, stimulus packages, and/or free money.

There are a number of advertisers who have been identified as committing multiple violations of our Microsoft adCenter Editorial Guidelines, including guidelines for relevant keywords, relevant landing pages and duplicate ads. These actions manipulate the adCenter system and negatively affect the Live Search user experience.

Your account has been identified in this group, and therefore your account has been paused and your ads are not running. Due to the nature of these violations, your account will not be reinstated.

You are welcome to create a new account with a new credit card as the previous card has been flagged with the previous account. Please note that should any of these violations occur again, similar actions to your account may transpire. We recommend that you review the Microsoft adCenter Help content for tips for creating a high-quality ad experience.

Here at Microsoft adCenter, our primary goal is to provide an effective advertising experience for our advertisers, as well as a relevant, positive experience for consumers seeking products, services, and content on Live Search and the Microsoft content network. Because these consumers are your potential customers, it is important that you, the advertiser, give them a high-quality experience through your advertising.

Should you require any additional information or help please call our support line at 1-800-518-5689.
