MSN Adcenter Bans for Running Grants

I find it funny how so many people did not get the point of the FTC conference at all.

Ah well, less competition.

Can anyone log into their Adcenter this pm? I cannot login and it gives me this message "You can start using your Microsoft adCenter account as soon as you activate it."

I cannot login to hotmail either. Hmm..I think I am banned too :(

I'm having the same problem. I don't think it's a ban. I've never ran any type of rebilling offer at adCenter.

I am glad to hear that someone else too cannot login to adcenter :)
My account is as old as Adcenter.

Let them ban all affiliates and they will go broke. That is why they just pick a couple here and there. They are just cock sucking whores and need competition.

Are you suggesting Microsoft would go broke without advertising dollars from affiliate marketers?

I'm surprised by what some of you said about MSN banning your account and then telling you to reopen a new one with a new credit card. Is that really true? Did they really tell you to do so? Boy! If only Adwords said the same thing!

i asked them what to do. she told me to reopen a new acc with the same card, it wouldn't matter. 10 minutes after my first campaign, which was a simple non-rebill campaign I got banned again. So yes, I'd suggest a new card.

And did you get ban again with that new card?

Funny how they will ban your MSN Ads account with little or no warning, but they approved our grant offers (after 2 whole weeks of compliance and legal checks along with some LP changes) for a 15-day long media buy on MSN.com, MSNBC.com, and the rest of their network.

I can understand them not allowing grants anymore for whatever reason they choose, but to actually ban entire accounts? Now that's just plain stupid.

It really bothers me that so many people and companies have turned the small and silly shit that the FTC covered into a giant over-inflated mess. Its turned into a game of telephone.

All my campaigns were paused when they laid the ban hammer down on my account. I did have acai and grants campaigns but if they're not running, what's the harm? I would rather see a note from them warning me that they'll shutdown my account if I don't comply etc instead of just shutting shit down without warning.

It's amazing how these companies can treat their "customers" like such shit at the bat of an eye. Us affiliates are definitely considered a lower class customer and are basically a dime a dozen to them, even if you spend tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars a year with them. If you received this treatment anywhere else in the service industry, it would be on the news and every type of media out there about how fucking stupid that company is. I know some of us promote some shady shit like rebills etc which you can't really compare to anything else, but I just hate having to bow down and suck up to these fucking networks just to be able to give them your business.

Google is a lot worse.

They will suspend your account without reason and will not let you open another one.

Yahoo does a drip approach....a couple of ads get slapped for "unacceptable content" every couple of days. I think all the search engines are scared after seeing how powerful the government forces their hand. (i.e. firing GM president and etc.,).

With regards to shady shit...we just promote. No different from any other product out there (i.e. Ab Blaster, Shamwow, vitamin supplements, hedge funds (i.e. Bernie Madoff)) that really don't do shit for you.
