Money Does Not Buy Much Happiness

I seriously have a hard time believing that.

Maybe if they'd said 40,000 compared to 100,000+, but 20,000 is a low enough amount that you'd have to be stressed about money from time to time.

money can't buy you happiness... just hookers.
poverty on the other hand... can't buy you a damn thing.

... i'll take the money.

I would say that study is true for the most part.

Most people that are making more than 100k per year a very ambitious and goal oriented, so they spend a lot of time with their career. Not to mention, they have to deal with pressure from managment, dealing with employees, and incompetent staff, etc.

Those making 20k a year typically work 9-5, have a lot less responsibility, and have a lot more free time to enjoy.

Lucky for me, affiliate marketing provides me with a great income, much less stress than the typical corporate puke experiences, and a much more enjoyable life.

First of all, $100k is not that much money in the western world, if you have a family and live in big city. I'd like to see the numbers at 500k+

It seems to me there are a lot of people working their ass off at a high paying job while wishing they were doing something different. At least the people making $20k know they can walk away and get that same job, or better anywhere else.

$100k is alot of money,it might not be the sort of money where you can go buy your dream car and take 2 holidays a year.. but i can live off $100k a year no problem.

IMO, I'd never want a 100k+ JOB because it can be taken from you at any time. A lot of times, people don't get fired due to performance issues, but many times it's personal issues (say the wrong thing, boss doesn't like you, etc.)

If that happend then i'm pretty sure you could take legal action.

Yep, it's way more secure in the long run to own your own business.

The thing about legal action is not what you know, it's what you can prove.

Anyways, i think it's the fear of losing your high paying job is what makes people so miserable.

I remember reading an article about buying your freedom, alot of people going into business to do this.. spend 10 years working your ass off and by then you should be able to be free from money.
