Merging WF?

Should we merge all the primary categories together into one large forum category?

I think this is the route I'm going to go with. Giving both sides, the yes and no people what they want.
 
I'm not sure, but maybe giving people both options might somewhat defeat the purpose of merging? Just my opinion. I think most people will veer toward one subject/forum that they like and eventually just use the option to view threads in that subject. Just what i think. Personally I like the Idea of merging all of them.
 
I tend to only click on the "New Posts" when I'm surfing from work and just want to read/lurk. When I want to post something or read a particular topic, I tend to search thru the topics for the most appropriate place to post. My opinion may be worseless, but I dont know that I'd want the categories merged.
 
I think merge them would be good...Also i just click on new posts instead of clicking threads to see what have updated...I'm all for the merged of threads... Like you said if your post or threads not good then peace its off to the next page:glowingeyes_sml:
 
GFY is like 100x bigger than WF and it works great there.
Go ahead and do it, WF will be the first mainstream forum to do it which would be pretty cool
 
I voted no because what will happen is you will see a decrease in the amount of replies for any given thread because there will be SO much to sort through. We're (surfers) are usually lazy by nature when it comes to sorting through more than the front 3 pages. If you merge them it will create too many pages of new posts to jump through.

I don't like the idea of doing two different types. Picking one seems more neat so everyone sees the same thing.

My thoughts exactly. it just seems more real or more clean if it's just one option.

This would work for me.....the best of both worlds, not sure how to vote on the poll though, not really a yes or no!

Well, I ended up voting yes anyway just to participate. My comments are just for extra ideas. :)
