BCG made a snarky remark which bruised your precious ego so you accused BCG of scamming Myspace just like Grunin scammed Facebook which is completely baseless considering the fact that everyone walked away from that without a huge judgment over their heads that can't be discharged via bankruptcy.
Then, it's discovered that you used to push a grant rebill offer on MSN which you seem to have no problem with despite the fact that the FTC hammered the fuck out of grant advertisers due to their extremely shady practices.
Everybody can see the double standard at play here. You're easy on yourself when it comes to the shady shit, but ready to pounce if someone else is doing something shady simply because they made you look dumb on an Internet forum.

First, stop posting under a parody account faggot. Second, I wasn't wrong. Criminal investigations don't have to wait on civil proceedings to finish. The two are unrelated and can run at the same time or either one can follow the other, or you can have one without the other. If Facebook decided to just contact the AG rather than sue, do you really think they would have just said "Nope, sorry. We don't investigate things until there is a civil case"?
Jesus Christ, you act like federal investigators just sit around waiting on cases to be handed to them on a platter. Some are, some aren't. Learn to fucking read.
Facebook would need to prepare an evidence pack for the assistant US attorney. Like cardine said earlier, it makes much more sense starting off with a civil lawsuit first as a result of that since the preparation work will basically be the same.

But didn't we just see that civil guilt DOES have a bearing on whether or not a criminal investigation is opened since the Judge overseeing the Grunin lawsuit himself made a recommendation to the justice department to open a criminal investigation?
Are you referring to this court order that specifically says the court "takes no position on whether the United States Attorney Office should or should not further pursue this matter"?
If somebody alerts an investigative agency (state AG, US Attorneys Office, or any other agency that investigates crime on a state or federal level for that matter) to a crime, or if they discover criminal activity in the course of their own investigations, they don't sit around waiting on a civil case to be brought before deciding whether or not to pursue a criminal case. They do have their own resources for gathering evidence, and a finding in a civil case isn't enough to bring criminal charges anyway.
My understanding is that the standard for proof in a civil case is lower than a criminal case with the OJ Simpson case being a good example.
