Local Citations - Boost The Rankings Of Your Local Keywords

I'd like to know the same. This would be more valuable if you were actually manually adding to Local directories, meaning directories that just pertain to the local area not to the big ones like Yelp. I really wish someone were offering a service like that because finding those and then adding to them makes me want to poke my eyes out.

From my understanding of Joozed's service, part of the package IS creating listings on local/niche sites, which UBL simply doesn't touch. Joozed's service also pimps out your listings instead of just creating them; he adds images and other content which makes your listing more complete. Anyways, I will give a full review once I receive my report.

You are right Magic Hat. There are a couple of differences between Ubl and LocalCitations. I know Ubl charges a yearly fee to keep the listings online. We charge a one-time fee for permanent listings.

By looking at their distribution list, I noticed there are a lot of similiar sites that we use as well (sites like Yelp and Insiderpages for example). There are about 40 - 50 local directory sites on their list. But I'm not sure why they included a lot of brand names like Audi and Pioneer. We focus on quality local business directories only. We don't submit business details to search engines, social bookmark sites or portals like Ubl does.

Another important thing is that Ubl doesn't create actual accounts on the sites. Their submission process is via an automated feed to the directories. We do everything manually (like adding images to your profile). You will receive the usernames and passwords of the sites, so you have full control over your listings. I think our process looks more natural to search engines.

Another important thing is that some of the directory sites on Ubl require a phone verification to approve the listing. We at LocalCitations.com do not want our customers to receive unwanted phone calls, so we filtered out all these sites.

We also offer to add your business details to city-based or niche related directories, which is even more powerful then the standard listings.

Alright. Got my first report last night. Let's get down to business...

OK, so I have to say, I have been looking for this service for a while. It is a pain in the ass submitting your site manually to all of these directories, especially when you have local clients with multiple locations, like I do.

This service creates an account/profile for you on 50 (or 100) different local/niche directory sites with the info you provide. Joozed sent me the report with about 70% of the listings approved/completed. There are still some listings which have been approved, but take a few days to get posted by each site. The review pacakage was for 50 submissions.

What You Get

  • 1 Report with all of your listings
  • 1 Report with listing info including username/pw for listings
  • 50 local citations and profiles (or 100)
  • Backlinks (need to count), but almost all of these profiles allow a link to your site. Usually the link is just yourwebsite.com, however sometimes the link IS do-follow, which is great. Just an added bonus really, as the main value here is the citations, which are used in Google's local search algorithm.
Magic Hat's Review
Overall, I am really impressed by this service. I will get to the results (yes, we are already seeing some results in the local SERPs) later. First off, Joozed is great to work with. This is like the 3rd service of his I have used, and he ALWAYS delivers on time. This is critical to me, as this service is mainly used for my local clients, who are constantly on my ass about stuff. The work is done professionally and to your requirements. The peace of mind in knowing that you aren't going to hear some BS about why your work has been delayed is probably the best part of working with him.

Joozed and his team hit most of the major local directory players (Insiderpages, Local.com, etc), and a few niche sites as well. If I could make one suggestion for this service, it would be to include submitting to more niche/local sites. This project was for a local gym, and Joozed did submit to some health club directories, but I would like to have seen more. Granted, most of the big guys have categories, and my site was submitted to the proper gym/health club categories, which means your link/listing lives with competitor sites (relevance bonus). Also, these bigger directories are like crack to Google, they are crawled constantly for reviews, etc.

This is the ONLY service on WickedFire right now that was designed specifically to boost local business listing rankings, and I have to say, I'm impressed. As someone who does local optimization for clients, this service will save me tons of time in setting up new clients for local SEO, and provides a nice kick in the ass for their local rankings.

Results
As I mentioned, yes, I am already seeing some results from this service. My site/business (which has multiple locations), is now ranking #7 and #4 on the pin map for my 2 targeted keywords (before Joozed started this service, they were nowhere to be found in local listings). The ONLY thing I have done to optimize this local ranking has been this service.

Granted, there are only X number of gyms in the area, and the client is pretty much in the heart of the city, but I have never seen results like that basically happen overnight. I do not see the actual citations yet in the Google listing, however they simply HAD to have been accounted for. I am guessing it will take a few days for them to actually show up in my listing, but who gives a shit as the ranking has already improved dramatically. Obviously, if you are optimizing for a listing in NYC, Boston, or another large metro area, you may need to do more than just these citations. I am in a pretty decent sized city, though.

Anyway, I am already in the process of ordering this service for more of my sites. I just hope Joozed keeps this service quiet (only on WF, please!) because it really does seem almost too easy.

Local SEO people, give it a shot. Your clients will love you.

Thanks for the great review Magic Hat! And thanks for the new orders :).
It's great to see how fast search engines are indexing our newly created listings. And I'm glad you are seeing results, because that's what is really important.

We are ready to take more orders. We will deliver a detailed report within a week!

wow i just received my report for 100 listings package, and it is very nice. superb work, i recommend it to anyone promoting a local business.

For those of you that did this, any results on this 3 months later? Should have been enough time to marinate in the map serps by now.

I received my report on the July 14 really hard to say at this point if this helped or not. I already was in the top 7 on the maps, so was already showing on serp page before. I have seen the clients business pop up on quite a few review sites it was not on before and I plugged in some reviews on those sites and they showed up on the profile page and this bumped me up a slot.

It may just take more time, I can put in the name of the business into google and see a lot of the work that was done as it is showing in the serps.

Local really likes reviews to rank and buy putting the keywords into your review title or body seems to help it rank for those terms. Of course you need your profile to be optimized for themas well.

There is one thing I cannot figure out yet, there is a site ranking #1 in the maps has no reviews and is just pegged there. Looks like he has some local references thought and this may be the key. He is doing something right just got to figure out what it is.

Thank you for your interest guys. We currently only offer our service to USA based businesses. We are working on a directory list for the UK. Tips are welcome.
