Leadcola - Scrubbers Gonna Scrub

Anyone else shocked that pace actually wrote this piece?

"One such group of scummy fraudsters is a network known as LeadCola. Our friend .hack has been sitting on this information for quite some time now and decided to finally post it recently to the Wickedfire forum. There’s a good chance you don’t read Wickedfire anymore, "

It's really irrelevant whether or not an advertiser "scrubs". If you can make more money with a different offer, then switch to that offer. If you can't then stop crying, if they weren't scrubbing they would have to lower the pay out in order to pay your ass anyway. The bottom line number is all that matters to you.

Do you really think this? 35% could make the difference between a positive or negative ROI on a campaign.
Scrubbing is illegal because you can see it as stealing.
Networks could scrub only if they find that publishers activities are against their TOC, and however this scrubbing should be clearly notified

(Spun a bit for uniqueness)
Wonder what happened with LeadCola recently? When many of publishers received emails (in the name of pewep) sending them to the legendary “GoogleHammer” beautiful site, exclaiming that it was a wonderful new chance. After their login information was posted publicly by perhaps a former masterful employee, several mass emails were sent out by their systems that included content from the pornographic to the plain silly.

It seems that LeadCola was not having a good week already, thanks to “Hack, the Son of Zeus” an infamous WickedFire moderator with what seems to be insane powers that allow him to out networks left and right.
According to .Hack, who was nice enough to email me information, not only is LeadCola engaged in epic scrubbing, as per his original post on Wickedfire but has been involved in less than ethical business practices. He claims that during a flight out to Canada to be a consultant for the company, he witnessed behavior that he called “shady shit” and has provided this screenshot to prove that they scrub 35% by default.
On top of all this unfortunate news for LeadCola, is an accusation that AffPaying, the affiliate review site, has been accepting bribes from LeadCola and other networks to hide bad reviews for networks. According to him, “AffPaying is definitely rigged. I’ve seen many fake reviews and networks that have had 2.2 stars with 27 negative reviews (Leadcola) go to 4.06 stars and 5 negative reviews.”
Hack is star status.

Interested to see where this will take Lead Cola long-term

There has to be a clear distinction between scrubbing and shaving.

Scrubbing is legitimate and when a scrub is agreed upon with the advertiser, this is a form of returning invalid leads. What we're seeing in these screenshots is shaving, as I'm sure leads are not being returned to the affiliates. Unless the affiliates are aware of this and agree to this "scrub", it would be considered shaving.

Scrubbing is when an advertiser returns invalid leads. There's multiple ways this can be done, such as:

- Advertiser sends weekly/bi-weekly/monthly scrub report and leads are removed.

- Advertiser and network/affiliate agree to an average percentage of scrub-rate, and decrease the payout to coincide with this scrub -- and thus creating a no-scrub offer.

Shaving is theft -- purely stealing from the affiliates. This is obviously a very one-sided thread.. like everybody here, I'd be interested to see a response in their own defense..

Glad to see someone finally make the distinction. Based on the screenshot, Leadcola is committing theft, plain and simple

This shit is cray! I actually live 5 minutes from their offices. they hit me up and wanted me to work with them a while ago.. those bastards tryn scrub mee

Jared Peterson: Hey, I wanted to let you know that I’m now with xRev Media and am looking for direct offers! If you have an exclusive offer and don’t already work with xRev lets get some business going!!

That's the problem with people they get so god damn greedy they do shit like this and ruin it, I been a Small network for 2 years, Still waiting on landing the One super affiliate that carries a network to the next level, I know a few network owners who told me if it was not for one certain affiliate they would have to down size.

I been small for 2 years and have no shame in admitting it, Would love to be as big as above all offers or max Bounty and be forced to hire more but I make enough to live a very comfortable life, That is all I need. I could not sleep at night comfortably anyways if I stole from people that work hard and put a roof over me and my son's head. People like this are just fucking stupid and greedy, and it is why many don't trust networks.

I know everyone wants to be rich and have a wonderland life but god damn, If you have to ruin or steal from someone else to do you can bet your ass that one day karma is going to come around and bite you in the ass. You get what you give, there is a reason that saying has been around for decades
