Just quit a six figure job at an inc. 500 company to pursure internet marketing.

Yeah i've heard that bullshit around here too saying you should work 12-15 hours a day. Do you really fucking think ANYONE here works 12-15 hours a day of pure productivity. i see some networks owners claiming they work 20 hours a day non stop, clearly thats bs. 6 hours a day is fine just like ^^ said.

To answer everyone's question, My monthly internet marketing income has been greater than that at my full time job.

Have been doing so steadily for about 6 months now.
Have a lot of opportunity to expand at this point and felt like the right time.

And also to answer everyones question, no, I have no idea what I'm doing.

Boom. Congrats! (unless you have zero profit)

You'll soon be saying "shoulda done it sooner".

Now get off WF and start hustlin, get your corporate/tax situation in shape, diversify, and prepare for some fun times, plateaus included. Embrace them and never stop learning.

A year from now you will be infinitely smarter than you are now. A year after that, you'll laugh again because you'll be infinity * infinity times smarter. Seriously.

Charge that shit! Now's your chance

I quit the corporate rat race 3 years ago.

Best piece of advice...diversify. Don't count on any single thing for more than say, 25% of your income. "Thing" being stuff like:

- Organic Search
- Adsense
- One big website (better off with 4 10k/uniques a month websites than one 40k/month)

you don't make shit with eithr 4 10k/uniques a month websites nor with 40k/month. unless it's gold, forex and gambling and your page is full of adsense ads

Well, it was meant to be illustrative, but I happen to disagree with you anyway.

I have plenty of 10k-40k sites that make good money. I have one ecommerce site that's under 10k and seriously banks. I also have a personal finance site at around these levels that does very well.

some dickheads around here will tell you to work 12-15 hour days, no, 6 hours of fucking good, solid / quality work is all you need; otherwise you'll get burnt out in the beginning.

To me it was never about saying "I'm going to work a solid 6 hours today" or "I'm going to bust my fucking ass for 16 hours rawwwwrrrrrrrr". I go with the flow.

If I don't feel like doing shit, I'll play video games all day and waste time here.

If I've got something exciting or something banking, I just naturally work at whatever pace feels right. When I first build a campaign I usually pull some all-nighters designing pages and ads, work 12 hours - sleep 8 hours - work 16 hours - sleep 6 hours - work 8 hours...whatever I'm motivated to do. The only time I have trouble finding motivation is when things are on cruise control.

How do you stop procrastinating , I have a factory job , wife , 2 kids , I work 9 hours a day every other Saturday and think about getting a site done and writing some code , but I don't do it FUCK!!!!! Thought you guys might enjoy this, this was my resignation letter I sent to the whole company. Might be good motivation for you guys looking to pull the trigger. (when reading this keep in mind im in my early twenties )

Today will be my last day here at omitted.

The decision was not an easy one for me. Recently, I have finally reached some clarity about my career path, my accomplishments, and the direction of my life. I’ve had a long storied career and seen my shares of ups and downs, good times and bad times. At this point I’ve decided that I have to do what is best for myself, my health, and my family. I am going to be taking my retirement in Boca, living out my golden years enjoying golf and sun. I look forward to finally setting some personal time aside for me and my loved ones.

But seriously, thanks to everyone here for making this a great experience. I truly appreciate the valuable knowledge and resources available to me, and feel like I have learned a lot since first starting here. I am thankful for my co-workers and management who have made this a fun and positive environment. I believe there is huge opportunity here at omitted for anyone that wants it. For these reasons my decision to leave was not an easy one, but the best one for me at the current time. I am going to be pursuing an internet start-up in an unrelated field. I hope to stay in touch with everybody and wish everyone the best of luck.
