JP Grunin: From $10,000 to $100,000 in 6 months.

I lol'ed so hard! Thank you.

I'll admit it, I was wrong about the guy.

If indeed he pretended to be someone else, provided fake documents, and didn't pay his bill... Then he gets what is coming.

Im not gonna judge on the matter right now. I need to see how this plays out entirely as I jumped the gun early last time.

lol @ the idiot posting screens of people encouraging grun's success as though shitting on people is a better alternative.

I'd be wary of anyone in here who thinks they have some white-knightery to say about grunin's public shitshow. Show me a cocksuck in here who hasn't made a mistake or 10 with varying degrees of severity and I'll open my asshole for hobb's cone.

Get the fuck over yourselves.

That's great, but you posted this right above your encouragement.

You wanna dish some shit out, then you get pissed when it gets thrown back in your face?

And you just edited your original post right now, taking away the only part of your argument, the 'encouragement'. Got the nerve to call me an idiot.

Look, everyone has made mistakes. Hell I've been thrown in jail and have a felony conviction. I've mentioned it here a time or two. I fucked up. I wish I could go back and not fuck up. But let's be clear, it wasn't a mistake. I made a willful choice that led to my legal trouble. The only saving grace was that I was the only person involved and it was a victimless crime. Still, it wasn't a mistake, it was a decision that I made with full knowledge of the potential consequences. It was dumb, but it was more than just a mistake.

Which brings us back to your statement and Grunin. He didn't make a mistake. It appears that he committed out and out fraud, knowing full well that that's what he was doing. He developed a plan to defraud facebook, the companies and people who's identity he used to accomplish said fraud, and to defraud the people he ultimately sold the accounts to, though I have less sympathy for them. It seems unreasonable to think they didn't know the hornets nest they were poking.

All of that goes far beyond a mistake. It was calculated, took multiple steps to accomplish, and was carried out over a period of years. It was a con. Attempting to let him off the hook by calling it a mistake is horseshit. Any ridicule he gets for this is deserved. Still, I hope he learns from this and comes out the other side better for it.

I agree that piling on those who were encouraging him is pretty pointless, but you know where you are and that's to be expected.

All of that goes far beyond a mistake.

I think he was referring to his personal mistake of backing Grunin, which is legit and everyone makes mistakes like he said, it's when you start throwing around insults like you know better only to have it fail in this fashion... well I don't know what you'd expect.

most of us were wrong, myself included, but it's hilarious to look back at in retrospect. my feels match those of nicolas cage in the laughing gif

I don't generally say "oops" until I realize I fucked up.

Right, nobody else does either. But realizing you fucked up after the fact and knowing you were fucking up before the fact is the difference between a a mistake and in this case committing what appears to be a crime.

And if you were saying you made a mistake by having his back earlier in the thread, then my bad. Cause yep, that's a mistake and we all make them. But I took it as you saying that Grunin made a mistake just as we all have, and what Grunin did wasn't a mistake. Mistakes aren't planned, especially when it involves getting access to something that doesn't belong to you. In this case, the (alleged) plan was to get multiple lines of credit under someone else's name. There's now way to claim "oops I made a mistake" on that.

I'm referring to grunin. I don't see the difference between a crime and a "harmless" mistake if we're talking about decision making.

In both situations, you weigh the risks. You bet on your judgement and hope to hell it's the right decision.

If your actions involve a victim, whether or not you're aware of it only determines if you're an asshole. And I've been an asshole plenty of times only to realize I'd made a mistake. The smart ones learn, the dumb ones die. Darwin awards.

At the end of it, you either say oops or you live to fuck it all up tomorrow.

@BoatBurner:

I seem to remember a period in your time here that your failure to properly analyze a situation landed you in some hot water.

That said, my advice to you is to STFU before your flawed critical thinking forces you to post something even more retarded than what you have already posted on this subject.

Just sayin', bro.

You only remember one instance? I've got character failure for days.

Did I trigger your little douche-alarm?
