It's time to post your office/workspace

Just moved into a new house with great office space. Looking for furniture.

I hate the ikea furniture and modern deco look. Shit gives me the yawns.

Anyone else into this refinished wood style?

In four years .... I want the following to happen:
....
2) Have a niche for a site/content I am passionate about, and make a small bit of side income from it,
...
Hold your horses boy. How can you know what will be there with entire Interwebs? How will the whole e-biz look like? Will Google and SEO even exist? Will there be sites, niches, content, traffic, banners, adsense, pumper sites, doorways, paypal, gay webmasters?

Start your site in your niche now. Don't wait so long.

Looks awesome...

But $1,200?

Slab of wood, and piping.. Could be made for under $100.

....

Seeing a ton of these "recalimed" stores/products pop up (hipster thing I guess), and the mark up is so outrageous.

I was thinking the same thing. But of the few skills I have, handymanship and woodworking are none of them.

Any ideas how some shmuck might accomplish such a thing?

1) Get pipes.
2) Get that thing to put threads on pipes.
3) Get some tee pieces.
4) Get some old wooden doors.
5) Pay someone to scrape paint off the doors and assemble the pipes.

Exactly what I was thinking. That price is out of control. Anyone that can operate a circular saw and has minimum wood working skills could make that.

No, see there need not even be any building/assembling required to make the monies, "distressed" furniture is the easy cash maker:

1) buy cheap, crappy furniture at yard sales or find free furniture on curbs
2) scrape half the paint off it (to make it crappier)
3) bang it artfully with a hammer to "add character"
4) put a vase with some flowers on top (no worries, vase and flowers are not included in the sale)
5) take a picture
6) post on Pinterest, Etsy or Ebay and sell for lots of monies

@ncmedia... For some reason I did not even notice you being here as well.
Welcome (very belated, but eh..)

Time to play the game

Random note..

I expected you to have an office with a bonsai tree and a zen rock garden...

Or something along those lines man.
