I laughed out loud when I saw a post on another board about a guy complaining that he's got too much traffic. He couldn't convert it. I kept saying, keep changing the page until you find a niche that converts. He won't listen. LOL

Do you guys have this problem?
 


when your site gets overloaded and exceeds bandwidth limits ala digg effect, then it is too much traffic!

That guy must be an idiot. I wish I were an idiot. I need traffic.
 
You Tube gets a ton of traffic and they're burning through a million a month. Sure, they might get acquired and make it worthwhile, but traffic can definitely be a bad thing if it's costing you more than it's bringing in revenue wise.

Absoultly if there is a guy who can't convert it the he is a putz and JDA is right! that is the only time to much traffic is bad!
 
There is such thing as too much traffic.. especially if you have an english site and it's all Chinese traffic. Waste of space and bandwidth.
 
I saw the thread title and was going to post, just ask Jon about Chinese traffic!

The equivalent is myspace traffic.

I was too lazy to change a CPA banner on one site last month & i got a 150 clicks from 1.5 million+ PV's & no leads.
 
If you are getting too much irrelavent traffic, then can't you put up CPM adds? 1.5 million + PV! Thats alot of money if you got 2 CPM ads above the fold!

Actually i've got 3 CPM ads, adsense & popups on that site. CPM dosn't pay well for myspace traffic.

A lot of CPM companies won't pay you for international traffic, and if they do it is next to nothing.
