Was he armed / threatening them with a gun?

We had a Brazilian guy shot dead by police in London who was literally just getting on the tube. He was completely innocent. Then we had Mark Duggan who was also shot dead without any reason. It happened that he was on his way to buy a gun, and there's not many reasons I can think of in London for buying a gun legitimately - it's not like we have wild bears or lions roaming around!

The most dangerous predators walk on two legs. All kinds of statistical data would support that.

Nope, here's the footage of the actual shooting: LiveLeak.com - Police helmet camera captures fatal shooting of James Boyd armed with a knife as he's turning away. had his hands in the air, didn't seem to pose any real danger, he turned to leave, they start throwing flashbangs and setting dogs on him and tell him to get on the ground, he turns away from them slightly, dropping the bags, they shoot him, despite having a tazer available.

One of the worst things I've ever seen.

While I tend to believe police have a right to defend themselves in highly stressful situations, I don't see anything in that video to justify shooting the homeless guy.
I fully understand a potential life-threatening situation, but that wasn't one of them.
