Introduction

Hello

This is dew_drop, I just got the information about this forum from my friend.
Personally I'm a "CL poster" and doing this job from more than two years. I joined here to learn more something to earn a bulk money..lol. Hope everybody will help me. Thanks.

I'm Nadia, I'm a student between universities at the moment, and I live in Scotland (though I've got an American accent).

I've dabbled in all sorts of IMing stuff, but my main focus, as for now, is doing freelance SEO work.

Glad to be here! :-) Seems like a cool place with lots of great people to meet.

Welcome to WickedFire Nadia.

What happened to the long, boring introductions? Some of them were pretty good. It's funny how that happens--people introduce themselves around the room, first person is all "I'm studying to be taxidermist but I'm really into origami and I like cheese and elves and I want a Mercedes and my pet lizard is named frank (small 'f')"--but by the time you get around the room the last guy says "hi i'm bill." Funny.

I have this contrary nature that makes me want to hurt stuff that's labeled "do not touch." Unfortunately I'm 53 years old and that makes me too young to be an old crazy guy and too old to be immature. So I have a personality disorder (and it looks like I'm in the right place).

My name is Dan. I am a nerd. I've had two careers so far. Aircraft mechanic in the military and coffee business entre...pre...uh, I started a coffee business with a partner and it worked well (but the coffee business is a TERRIBLE way to make money--even when it was "hot"). I taught myself to do double-entry accounting (including payroll) for a company with eighty employees all of whom expected to get paid on time (damn!). I taught myself so much about computers that I became "the computer guy" to all my relatives who thought my name was "free tech support" until the night of the long knives and I told them not to call be for free tech support you assholes.

I've had several websites and blogs and they all had as much traffic as my navel.

I get along well with people.

I'm studying to become a prosthetist.

No, seriously, that first statement was a little fudged but this is true. I am going to get a credential in the making of artificial limbs.

I'm married, live in way nicer house than I deserve in a part of town where you can get jacked up for driving an ugly car (I have the smallest house in upscale area).

So I belong to the the baby boom generation (a.k.a. "Mom and Dad") so I'm not part of the greatest generation nor am I hip like a person born since the eighties (that would be you-all).

But I'm very, very enthusiastic about this whole idea of making millions of dollars, at a rate that will out-pace the hyper-inflation that is coming soon, using this thing called "affiliate marketing."

Now, where can I get some affiliates to market--and how can I tell if I have good ones? Check the teeth or just pinch up a fat roll and calculate how much corn they'll need before slaughter?

Hello from Florida

Hi everyone, Chris from Florida here. Been doing web design/light SEO for a while now and recently got into AM. Looking to learn a lot on these forums!

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and to IM.

I've been in business offline since 1975, and using the internet since before the web existed (I kid you not), but somehow I've never tried my hand at IM until now that I'm practically retired! I've finally got fed up with the feeling that I'm missing an opportunity, so I find myself here, among other corners of the web, looking to get involved, learn, help out if I can and (who knows?) maybe even make some money along the way.

All the best.

Henry.

Hi,

This is Manu and Yadu. We are new here. We are thinking of providing Design works especially PSD to HTML conversion. We would be providing these services for cheap prices. So, hopefully we all will be doing good business here.

Hi, I'm Gergely. Don't you ever try to pronounce my name or you'll just hurt yourselves and incur the wrath of Odin.
I'm a Hungarian from Slovakia. Before you ask: no, I was BORN there and no, I'm NOT an immigrant and neither were my parents or grandparents for that matter. Either way it's way too complicated for most people to understand or even comprehend. And for the record: Slovakia =/= Slovenia. They were both part of the same country though and the only difference between them is the fact that Slovenia is not landlocked.
I did study some EE at a local university, but didn't like most of the theory. So now I pretend to be a know-it-all who knows how to hack into just about everything you might possibly own from your webpage through your server to the smartphone you've ordered yesterday at cheaphongkongphones.com.
What else do I do? Well, mostly programming (PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a bit of C), and making sure your system works as supposed, be it Unix/Linux or Windows (I could do MacOS as well, but nobody in his right mind uses that THING for servers and Mac users are douchebags anyway :P). How long? Well, PHP for like 8 years, the rest a bit less. System management came just a few years ago.
The forum itself seems to be quite neat. The only thing that bothers me is the fact that all these frustrated kiddos on the site seem to swear an awfully lot, as in more often than it is natural. For an intelligent person anyway :P Yet they turn around and make rules any fascist would be proud of :P
Oh yeah, and everybody seems to bash DP for being full of noobs. I can agree to that. Sometimes their stupidity can be really annoying too. But lashing a bunch of noobs doesn't mean that you aren't one of them. Especially if you try to put down the modest (but trying) ones too.
