You know what you should do? You should start becoming friends with all the other MMA sites out there. Share content with each other. Share fans and users. Share whatever you can.

Since you're coming to us, I would say "just pay for some dumb banner ads on other MMA sites. (just remember to sell the click)". I'm sure some of the admins of those sites never expected to make any money off it, so offer them something they can't refuse (like your wifes tittays for a blog post featuring your site).

Use Google Adwords, Yahoo, and Bing. It may be hard to measure ROI, BUT you can always set a daily budget (of $1 if you need to). If you wanna grow the site cheaper and quicker, you should do what I mentioned earlier.

Definitely make sure to make a FB fan-page that you link with the site and use for your advertising on FB. Advertise the group to people that have MMA related interests only to start. Maybe even get a MMA fighting app made if you have any good ideas. Is there an app that lets you challenge your friends to Knockout style boxing matches?

Oh and read erects post 3 times and then once more for good measure.
 
Yeah, I have an iPhone app in development right now.
It's going to have fantasy betting, Live PPV streams of events, ring girl of the month and an RPG game where users can build up a fighter and fight others users of the app.

That should be done in a couple/few weeks.

Lacy and I both have FB pages with a couple thousand friends. That helps.

My international PPV specials don't start until January but hopefully that will help a lot.

1. google 'mma is gay' and research.

2. write some linkbait on how gay mma is. put up some pictures of gay looking mma grappling and say how gay they are. make a poll.

3. Write an article on your site defending mma. put up the same pictures of gay looking mma grappling and say how manly they are. put up pics of your wife to prove you're not gay. make a poll.

4. link them together (in response to...)

5. SB that shit. hope it's good/funny/causes anger/elicits some emotion and goes viral.

6. let mma fags debate it all day on your site. (<-targeted traffic here!)

7. become 'ruler of interwebs authority' on why mma is not gay.

8. even when people say it's gay in future articles, blog posts, whatever on other sites you don't even know about, they'll probably target one of your articles with a link. this is good.

First thing I noticed upon clicking on your website is your wasting valuable SEO real estate by not using your title tags better:

most searched keyword | next most searched keyword | see the pattern?

MMA is a subject that is very dear to me. Also, you've been a really good sport with the wifey pics and whatnot.

You sir need a serious marketing plan in place. Serious enough that it aint going to be covered in exponential value in a forum. You are going to probably get a lot of tips seo and advertising wise but someone needs to give you a much larger picture ESPECIALLY in this niche.

I bet within 10 minutes on the phone I can give you 10+ oh shit moments.

I think you need to delineate strategy and tactics. In other words, you need a comprehensive marketing plan. Way too much to get into on here, but PM me if you want to talk about your goals in more detail.

I've been getting several PM's as well which I appreciate.

I don't know crapola about SEO obviously and I know my sites needs a lot of work. I've been reading but a lot of this stuff seems like it's constantly changing and I can't keep up.
 
After a very pleasant phone conversation with Ruck, I'm implementing some of his suggestions now and will report back once I've completed the jobs.

I know this community is pretty balls out, but I appreciate the support I've gotten here. I'm sure there will be ways I can return some favors...

wonder how many people in here are just SALIVATING. No not over his (pretty) wife, but instead the thought of getting in bed with someone in the MMA scene in order to run muscle building ads in partnership with him.
