I saw them cut my wife up, and beneath all the blood..

We did not just choose a C-section.
It is a pre-existing medical condition.

Taken in CONJUNCTION with the estimates of the kid's size at birth, a C-section was called for.

Turns out she was lighter than anyone predicted (still not small, but smaller than predicted)

My wife had a C-section with both of my kids. Man was that quite interesting the first time I saw it done. Let's just say I kept my head above the cloth the second time around.

Congrats bro!

Congrats EMP. Welcome to many sleepless nights but it's all well worth it in the end! I'm 2 months away from doing this all again myself.

Congrats Emp!

Enjoy every minute. Time flies by way to fast and next thing you know she'll be all grown up.

Yeah because abdominal surgery is sooooooo much better than natural birth.

Well, the C-section did save my eldest son's life, so yes I was very happy that the doctor decided to do so. He was breech with the cord wrapped around his neck, twice, so he would never have survived childbirth...

My second son was over 11 lbs and my wife was very petite at the time, so yes, natural was an option, but again the risk factors of a c-section were less for my wife than natural birth.

Mama staying how mama was is just a benefit.

Well I guess the Doctor did not do the C section for "YOU" after all like you made it seem, amirite?
