As cute as they are (especially that tiger cub...man, that fucker is cute) I am vehemently against private ownership of those kinds of animals.

Very short-sighted. In 3 years, the owners will put the burden on a zoo...or worse. And as soon as an *ahem* "accident" happens where a dumb human gets hurt trying to play with an adolescent tiger or lion, the animal will be put down.

These kinds of situations almost never end well for the animals.

Na, I agree, it's total bullshit that people take these things as pets and put them in cages. Totally not cool with it.

That being said, I wanted to see them and hold them. It's not like me seeing and touching them is going to matter.

And the lion is more expensive because tigers are, apparently, very easy to get. Lions, not so much.
