How do beat the urge to eat?

I'm about 40 lbs overweight, so obviously I have a problem with this too. Some things to try are:
cigarettes
drinking water
coffee
exercise
smoking pot

some of them like exercise or smoking pot can make you even hungrier so it depends on your reaction to it.

Banana bread - Goes and stays in your stomach for a while (3-4 hours)
Cottage Cheest - another one that stays in your stomach for a while (up to 7 hours depending on how much you consumed)
Oatmeal - good ole classic. Stays in stomach for a while, lowers cholestrol and has good fibre.

Of course, if your normal food intake is crap(ish), your body could simply be screaming for some sustenance.

Drink wheat grass juice minimum 3 times a day. Try to make it about 1 litre per day.
After of couple of weeks of doing this you will notice that you treat food differently and you will just eat because you need energy and not huge appetite.

I tried it and it works. Robbins and other celebrities drink gallons of it. The only thing is that the juice might be expensive but I guess not that expensive.

Give it a try for a couple of weeks. It has other health benefits and you do not have to exercise. Of course exercise is healthy - at least some walking.

I am not affiliated with any wheat grass products or juices and I do not sell them. Might in the future though because it works.:cool-smiley-008:

I'm still waiting for the hydrogel pill to come along. Hydrogel is that plastic like capsule they put drugs in for you to swallow. The hydrogel concept is to swallow a bunch of these gel-like capsules and they'll expand in your stomach to make it feel full, like lap-band surgery. I haven't heard anything about lately so I guess it's a fail.

This already exists. Try to locate some capsules filled with Glucomannan.
Take some of these with 8oz of water right before you eat and they will expand in your stomach and make you feel full.
Most health food stores have them and they're cheap as dirt.

Get those Nutragrain or Nature Valley bars. I used to have a horrible habit of eating sweets after a meal and during the night so I used this as a substitute. They're fairly healthy and keep you full with a nice glass of milk or juice.

The worst is when you really need to snack and you go get donuts or some shit to fulfill that crave.
