G20 Police State



shit aint ever going to change, only way out is to make some serious money and get out the trenches.

No matter how annoying or pointless the protesters (which they arent), police has no right to do such things. They were not doing anything negative. And these are the same people that paid these cops with their tax money. The city runs on tax money. Citizens should be allowed to protest and generally wonder around the streets.

The price tag for that event was over 1 billion dollars. That's a MASSIVE number. For that money the city could have been renovated, new parks built, etc... Instead they spentit on a fence and bunch of cops.

If they really in fact wanted to have a peaceful meeting, why the fuck did they hold the meeting in the middle of a HUGE metropolitan downtown? It doesn't make any sense. Clearly this was a setup and someone profited big from this.
 
I've always thought it was a little strange to have these Global Summits without little to no press coverage, and a serious blockade and perimeter, LRAD, riot police...

THIS. I've kept wondering why they don't have this crap at some big ass chateau out in the countryside where protesters won't be such an issue. Securing the perimeter would be more straightforward and MUCH less costly.

Yeah, a friend of mine said in defense of the police/riot act... "well, don't poke the bear." Why am I paying for the bear? This is insane.

I don't understand why they can't teleconference these meetings...
 
There probably won't be, but I really hope there's a shitload of public backlash out of this. And the so-called "arms length" court gets involved... but really, government makes the rules, right?

Conduct this test yourselves - Go sit in the middle of a intersection, where you live. Refuse to move when asked by cops. WHAT IS YOUR RESULT??
