Fuck Me. I've failed to scale past 1k/day for 3 years.

Of course I'm not saying that you should fail to reach out and grow your reach. You get my point. 1k a day ain't bad. I can definitely say that I'd give back a years worth of "doing my own thing" and just do this the old "review" way and grow that aspect of my business.

I don't mean this in a weird/rude/etc. way, but I work a legitimate job by day and pursue other avenues in my free time. That way I have a baseline salary and whatever else I make, I stick into savings. :)

I kept trying to do new shit that didn't work out and wasn't scaling what was already working. It was unrelated.

So, say I'm making 500/day from a site in a niche. You'd think I would make more sites right? No instead i tried to become a merchant for diet and bizopp with good intentions and good products. Then I found out how shady you had to be to profit. Lost lots of money because I was naive.

Another example is seeing "oh look this is hot promote it" and finally giving in and spending money to promote it... Usually losing a bit, almost breaking even, then shit gets banned or whatever, and I decide ok back to my old projects AGAIN.

As of Dec '10, I started building/training people carefully to replicate my current success.

I've realized it's really hard to stop paying attention to every shiny new thing that people say is hot. I don't want to miss out on shit, but I need to dedicate myself to what's working already, I figure.

^ This. I was in the exact situation you were a hot sec ago. PM me. Id like to pick ur brain if that's cool w/you.

No offense taken whatsoever. I see it as a positive thing. Thanks for sharing.. I'm actually thinking of accepting clients who need us to design/code setup their offers with their CRM like limelightcrm for example... provide content and more, whatever they need. I'd network, learn more and have fun plus increase cashflow.

Ok, I have a question - I have limelightcrm and icontact at my disposal... How should I set up my path stuff to collect the data?

Say it's an offer like...

1. Ad: Get free alligator insurance quotes
2. Lander: fill out zip code
3. next page: oh wow you're getting Alligator insurance quotes in Arizona! (determined from zip code) Fill out some questions related to insurance, not name and email yet....
4. Fill out some more questions.
5. Finally, fill out name, email, phone.
6. see links to offers, click them and generate $$

Ok, so I'm wondering where I should be storing the data they fill out in the forms.?? I don't want to be stupid and overcomplicate this.

this is something id like to know as well for a few things i want to do.

Good people are telling me to store it in my own database so I have a central place for all customer data and can use it anywhere else I want. Of course emails and phones etc should be stored in your mail provider too like icontact but you can't count on them to let you keep your data when you get bigger.
