I kept trying to do new shit that didn't work out and wasn't scaling what was already working. It was unrelated.
So, say I'm making 500/day from a site in a niche. You'd think I would make more sites right? No instead i tried to become a merchant for diet and bizopp with good intentions and good products. Then I found out how shady you had to be to profit. Lost lots of money because I was naive.
Another example is seeing "oh look this is hot promote it" and finally giving in and spending money to promote it... Usually losing a bit, almost breaking even, then shit gets banned or whatever, and I decide ok back to my old projects AGAIN.
As of Dec '10, I started building/training people carefully to replicate my current success.
I've realized it's really hard to stop paying attention to every shiny new thing that people say is hot. I don't want to miss out on shit, but I need to dedicate myself to what's working already, I figure.
