Fuck!!! I can't make money online

Put yourself in the shoes of the user. I'm sure you would hit the back button within seconds if you came across a thin affiliate site like the ones you posted. Offer a viewpoint that can't be found elsewhere.

Put their need for quality content above your need to profit. Today's consumer can smell your intentions as much as a woman trolling for free drinks at the club. Bait a clever trap instead of commanding them to jump through a hoop.

Thanks for all the advice and honest opinions, I really appreciate it. It was great to get some other perspectives. I have been doing this since 2008 and have only made $150 , I'm not looking for a magic solution, it's just frustrating because I've burned about $5000 in hosting ,outsourcing , ppc amongst other expenses. I really want to succeed in this business , I have very limited time with 2 kids and a 9hr a day job 6 days a week, I want this to be the way I make my living , I would even split commissions with someone willing to help, once again thanks for taking the time to post this thread.

Thank You

Just because you registered your domain in 2008 doesn't mean you have been doing it since 2008.

"Focus" is too big a word. Just be serious about creating a website, since that is what you started.

Just two things. The rest all comes naturally.
1) Add content. Text based contents are always better. Add a few content every day.

2) Get links to your content pages and your home pages.

Do it everyday. Get at least one link to every page that you create everyday.

Instead if creating a DIY solar panel site, which is a different ball game, you can maybe concentrate on writing a blog on Solar energy? Green blogs do very well. Solar is also a good Topic. Lots of fresh news everyday. Solar tech companies, Thin Panels, VC investments, global warming... Once you start getting traffic, monetize as u see fit.
Just don't forget to write a couple posts every fucking day.

"A year from now you may wish you had started today."

You can make $150 selling lemonade on the side of the road. Surely you can make ten times that much through IM. I'll lay it out for you real easy now. Go make a site that has actual value to your visitors - you know, a site that they'll stay on for more than 2 seconds before frantically hitting the back button. And make sure it has some decent content. Pop some ads on there, buy some traffic, and watch the money roll in. It won't be a ton, but it'll be money nonetheless. Certainly more than $150. But make sure that if you're going to buy traffic that your niche is very general and popular. With table lamps you might get 1/50,000 visitors to click on a related ad. Now if you have a blog about cell phones....my lord. The CTR will go through the roof and the payouts will be very high. Why? Because almost everyone has a cell phone and everyone is wanting the next best phone. They're put into the "buy buy buy" mode automatically when they see and think of cell phones. Go ahead. Go do a cell phone review blog. Just look up reviews for popular phones, read 'em, then write your own based on what the other person liked. Soon enough you'll have banner ads for Tmobile all over your site and your dumbass visitors will start reading your shit and (hopefully) get bored and click on the shiny new cell phone ad. Result? You bank. Of course this is just an example. Do this with anything that's popular that sells well and you'll bank. Start out with paid traffic then put every cent you make into organic SEO. The going rate is $1 per 1,000 visitors (non targeted). Something like a cell phone ad would pay more than $1 so you'd have to have a CTR of less than .001% to lose any money.

If you are designing those sites - STOP
If you paid someone to design them - KICK THEIR TEETH IN

Advice:
1. STOP BUYING SHIT!

2. Read this forum - It has all the info you will need to get going.

3. Outsource shit you suck at (probably design)

4. NEVER...EVER... PET A CAT THAT IS ON FIRE (freebie)

To the third side home DIY solar is not a bad "niche" it works I made money of those sites before but you need a better design. Just google for better ideas

Maybe it's the time for something off-line then?

I'm just kidding, the worse thing is to give up. You need to work harder, smarter and find some unique ideas, and never give up.

3 sites, and that's it? Man, you have to focus on making money rather than sites. Promote them, put them outhere, put some bone into it and they'll get you the cash you want.

Any product can be sold...no matter how terrible.

make them want it and they will buy.

To make money online this way you have to put more time in it. When I started working 20-30 hours a week I started to learn fast and I started to earn some real money. This forum provides good information, not like a lot of the informatie you find on the net about earning money online. I think you on the right track

@CaviB;
First of all: Listen closely to some of the good advice in this thread, especially from ChrisS. Here is my advice: I've been in your shoes. I remember what it was like trying to make even $1 online with a 9-5 job + kids + family + no free time.

#1 Forget trying to rank your own sites with SEO for now. Your number one focus should be the activity that is most likely to make you as much money as quick as possible. You can always dabble in ranking lamp sites later on, but for now it is just a waste, seriously.

#2 Focus on ONE thing that you know is making people money, and do NOT shift away from it until you have made a profit.

#3 Hook up with some of the better affiliate networks like C2M, PKM, A4D, or EWA - and start communicating with your affiliate manager(s) on a daily basis. Learn what works, how it works, where it works, why it works.

#4 You said you've spent $5k+ on stuff so far so I assume you have some money left over every month from your 9-5 to invest. Now, don't spend any more of that on shitty ebooks, link building, courses or outsourcing. Put your money into paid traffic (again, pick ONE traffic source, and master it!). Check out Affbuzz.com for some of the best blogs with resources, guides, and case studies. (But...don't fall in to the trap of just reading and not doing!)

#5 Yes, you will lose money in the beginning. Yes, it can be stressful at first. Yes, you may still have days where you feel like the world is out to get you. But there is a beautiful cure to all of that, and her name is Persistence.

#6 Lastly: you and only you are the captain of your ship. The ONLY reason for failure is yourself. Just as the ONLY reason for overwhelming success is yourself. For every failure, learn something - don't dwell and pout over it. Ask: how can I improve on that? Not: why the fuck does this shit never work for me?

Now go get'em son!!

Probably there is a method to make money online, but there are so many rip-offs on the net about, that it's better to be very cautious.

You only work 9 hr days? That means you have 15 hours off every day. Been doing this since 2008? That means you've had nearly 16425 hours to invest in this stuff. Get hungry. Those sites aren't going to unfuck themselves, and that traffic ain't gonna drive itself. Fuck table lamps and damn solar shit - get into profitable markets. Diet, antiaging, bizopp, grants...something with mass appeal.

A vast majority of the people trying to make money online fail.

Most people that are making money online are not making nearly as much as you would think. These forums can be a little misleading. It seems like everyone is kicking ass all the time, but that's just not true. You would be surprised at how many people come off as real players when they're barely making ends meet and would probably be better off seeking gainful employment.

That is not to say that no one makes money. Many people are making a killing online, but they are the minority.

This statement is pretty much the truth.

-rep for your name though.

Web designs have a great impact on a website. Web designs are like clothing and apparel. A well-designed website is like a well-dressed man, walking on the catwalk. A poorly designed website looks like a man wearing a plain white shirt and a pair of boxer shorts, with no clue on what he's doing.
