FTC rape time

Why doesn't the ftc go after the ad agencies and make them responsible for approving the damn ads in the first place. The day the FTC hits pulse, sonar, and the rest of the bunch for allowing these ads and forcing some responsibility onto them is the day bids will come down enough that affiliates and advertisers arent forced into using these same old pages because they can't afford to reasonably compete with the damn pages the ftc hates so much.

Going after the affiliate or even the advertiser is not going to do any good if there are 100 willing to jump right into their spot. Just keep hitting the US based affiliates and advertisers until the only ones who are able to compete this way are either well hidden or international and they can't get to them anyway. The only message this is sending is to make sure you are not in the US or you are well hidden if you do because this kind of advertising is not going away until the big agencies that allow it get held responsible and start to disallow it.

i do not think its a problem promoting via an article... its done a lot in print... i think the issue is the combination of the rebills... and the fake reviews... the look and style are ok... just not how its worded.. aka fake reviews

I think the problem comes from the blatant lies that are pasted all over these landing pages.

Rebills = Pissed Off Customers = Complaints to Authorities = FTC Getting Involved.

How is posting about this here "straight retarded"?

It seems to be a common theme with you and not liking when people post about anything business related publicly. Why do you care what people post about on wickedfire and why do you continue to try to point out how stupid everyone is that posts anything related to the biz here anyway? Seems like you'd rather nobody talk about anything openly so you can just keep everything between you and your circle of friends but WF has been here for a long time so I don't think it's going anywhere.

If you're involved in a legal battle it's not wise to comment.

Yeah... I guess I was just talking about the general discussion of the FTC article here and not specifically about people involved making statements here which is of course a bad idea.

You should have stopped doing article landers months ago. You had a golden oppurtunity, a second chance to continue executing campaigns, and go white hat with it, tone it down a little, as the rules set down after jan-april 2010 weren't too stringent. But no, you decided a good idea, after 80% of offers went down, was to to use article landers. Brilliant

How ironic how the retard from that thread now has a lawsuit.

I asked my friends at networks to stop allowing article landers months ago because we had a golden oppurtunity to continue executing campaigns if they weren't so blatant as the rules set down after jan-april 2010 weren't too stringent. You retards had to keep pushing it

So your friends at the networks ignored you like everyone on this forum is doing because you are, surprise, looking out for Your best interests and not anyone else's. You told the networks to stop allowing the article landers with the blatant rule violations so you could run your landers that were slightly better because you went over the guidelines and were confident that your pages followed the rules. Even if you were right it would of only taken a few days before your pages and idea were ripped anyway. If someone is talking about something you are doing, or talking about something you don't want people to do because it effects you then they are "retards". Nobody here cares how you make your money and nobody is going to change anything they are doing just because it isn't in your best interest.

I'd love for them to do a report on that.

Me and my bank account are in the UK. My landers are hosted in Turkey. The hosting and domain is anonymous. The network is in the US. The advertisers is in the US or def not UK. The customers are in the US.

So who can fuck me? I don't think the FTC can. The UK equiv has no word in what advertising I do oversees.

Interesting question. Maybe you US guys should look into JVs with offshore partners (or money mules!).
