Alright, I said http://www.wickedfire.com/shooting-shit/6017-jon-resource-section.html
That I would release the split tester code after the resource section came out which is still true. But I am gonna release one half of the code "the part that you need" With the pagegen code I gave out a while ago.
I havent tested this with IE but the only part that matters is ripped from some code that is tested in IE.. so good luck
NO NEWBS. Unlike the page gen code, this one takes a little more work to setup and even less polished.
If you cant get this setup, go to the other thread and start with the basic page generator then move on to this.
WHAT THIS DOES:
you create multiple templates and chunk them into a folder with some javascript "copy it from the templates in the zip file"
for each page you create this keeps track of impressions + adsense clicks and on each call to a page it Split tests each template against the others and if one beats out another with a certain degree of certainty "same math as www.splittester.com" then the looser gets removed from the test. I think you can do unlimited pages but I have only tested 3 and it worked out. You can set the minimum standard devation to determine a winner in the /rotator/config.php
I think anything > 2 is about 95% certainty that the trend will continue
you can rip this shit and stick it in your own framework if you want.
There are 2 sets of SQL to run to create the stat keeping information as well as the page generation junk.
If you haven't split tested before you will be suprized at the amount of difference small design changes will make on your outcome. While split testing arbitrage may be a pain in the ass, this does it all for you. once you have 3 - 4 templates setup you can just use the page gen tool like normal to bust them out and it will automatically display the best performer on a niche by niche basis.
This is just the bare minimum. I am saving the good stuff for the "resource section" whenever that happens.
Including reporting and setup in the slimstat admin area as well as the ability to paste in adsense csv data and match it up with yours to automatically pick winner and looser niches.
There are 3 configs to dick around with
config.php
rotator/config.php
rotator/slimstat/_config.php
make sure you copy the JS into your templates and change the urls to your urls.
Good Luck.
oh, and this can be used on any sites that use adsense as a basic testing framework...
and. I have only used this for like 50 clicks so we will see if it works in the wild!
