Found an email database with 250k users - what now?

so uh - why should I not ban you

please please please. Put this guy out of his misery. Judging by his thread quality today alone, he's should have been approved for denial by now. It's only going to get worse, mark my words.

I feel a little seedy posting this, but just curious if I can do anything with an sql database I found with approx 250,000 names/emails.

Seems like it would be pretty tricky to do anything with unless I was in the Russian mob, but just curious...

Email the shit out of them with the spammiest, dirtiest offers you can find. Make sure you use adult content and "this will be great for your kids" as a subject line.

Let us know what happens, it should be pretty funny. Maybe keep a journal or something.

yeah it wont get through the filters
i suggest spoofing it to look like you are CNN
then put urgent news form CNN in the subject
it is also very helpful to include corporate logos, any multi national company should do

wham...you are in there

Be a good citizen and hand them over to the FBI.

Actually, I heard that if you have a subject of "endorsed by Oprah", with a photoshop of her head onto some anonymous naked pornstar in the body of your email, it automatically bypasses every major spam filter.

OP should definitely do this. CC it to legal@oprah.com to ensure they add you to the whitelist.
