For those who work from home...

Doing anything from home is hell. I should be studying right now. *runs* I pose a question to anybody who can study at home without distraction. How on earth do you do it? :p

If that's your wife in your avatar, I have to give you major kudos.

Yeah, no, that's Scarlett Johansson. I do find my wife pretty attractive though, and she puts up with me so that's a definite plus. :)

I got a Full Time Job as Developer and SEO Specialist. At home I work for my own business at night or sometimes at the weekend. At the moment it's working great because my girlfriend is very busy with her studies but I think it won't be that easy anymore as soon as she's done.

You automatically become distracted. In my opinion it's always better to have an own office or at least a very seperated room.

Nail on the head there Jon. Agreed. If you work from home, focus on many projects at once taking forced breaks (unless your on a roll).

I work 14 hours a day easily, but between that i have a game or two, go out to lunch, catch up on a few eps or whatever.

Break but pace yourself also.

I swear she can look like 5 different people depending on the angle, so weird

This varies from person to person. For me, it's easier sticking with one thing until it's done, instead of shifting my attention all the time...

We have a new family member and he requires a potty break about every 20-30 minutes - Meet Quincy - our new golden retriever.

I used to hop on the motorcycle and go give heart failure to the local farmers and cows, but hate to put Quincy in a cage for very long - Our eye doctor told us to take a break from the computer every twenty minutes to reduce eye stress..so it all works out well..

I'm the same way, It's not always easy to get goin', but once I'm coding it's hell to stop. That's why i work so much better in an office enviornment... I've got nothing to do but work so it get's me goin' quicker.

It makes it a lot easier if the place you go to work is specifically designed for work as well.

My office has no TV or phones and I don't take my cell in there with me.

You have to take breaks. Anything else will drive you insane--even if you love doing it.
