So I finally got around to playing with FB over the last few days, mostly due to reading the fb ads thread

posted up a few different ads - some highly targeted personal stuff just to get a feel for it and then today posted up a zip offer from copeac ..

within 20 minutes it nailed out about 72k impressions with 28 clicks .. I paused it while I was adjusting the logs on my server and when I re-activated the campaign it's as if it just didn't come back.

I've waited about 2 hours thinking there might be a time-delay and still have yet to see any increases in impressions or clicks ..

haven't heard back from fb (don't think i will since it's past 5 pst) .. any idea why I haven't seen any traffic come back to my ads?

Most traffic is bought by branders now (large companies: mcdonalds, cellular networks etc).

Unless you're able to pay $1+ per click to compete (impossible with a zip submit) you should try other traffic sources.

The guys in the main facebook thread are offered better prices than someone just starting out because they've spent $$,$$$s or more since it opened, so that's why they're still able to run these affiliate offers.

I'm guessing you're joking and screwing around with the OP, but if you're not, and you're serious, then you are fucking retarded. I was getting 40 cent clicks with a shitty .05 CTR

And OP, you are also fucking retarded, theres a FB thread with with 5k posts for a reason. Post your shit in there next time.

As for your problem, I had a somewhat similar problem. I couldn't get impressions, after about 2 hours I got them. Fb has been pretty buggy lately it seems.

$3.55 / per lead zip submit - $1.30-1.60 cpc on fb .. how's that impossible?

@stick2herbs - thanks, I'll give it a few more hours.

Just to confirm what Sticks said - every word in Damain's post is completely false.

Regarding trafffic - 72k with 28 clicks is a CTR of about 0.039%. With that kind of CTR the problem is now that you're bidding to low. Actually, with a ctr that low they'll generally shut your impressions down anyway even if you bid high, but it will take days rather than hours.

Your suggested bid was likely over 60c if not 80c. You're probably trying to bid in the 20c range to make your zip, with its 1.10 payout, work. Or at least reducing the bid towards that.

With that CTR FB threw you some traffic for half an hour, saw the result and shut you down. You'd need to bid in the higher end of suggested bid range to get any more decent traffic back.

You'll need a CTR of at least 0.15 to make a zip submit work even for a few days. Aim for 0.20 or above.

Lastly. Zip submits are not allowed on Facebook anymore. You're lucky to have gotten it through. When people start complaining about your ad your account will come under scrutiny and repeated offending can result in a ban.
Now that you've contacted them anyway they'll likely disaprove those ads anyway.

$1.35 with a suggest of $1.40-1.70 .. i bumped it up to $1.55, based on what you're saying - it may take some time .. but yeh - I was trying to bid low initially (whoops lol)

what is your budget set at?

truthfully for 3.55 a lead... you are not going to be profitable at 1.50 a click...

I asked what your budget was is b/c facebook throttles ur budget throughout the day...

so if its 50 they will try to spend 50 over 24 hours.. if its... 100,000 they will try to spend 100k throughout the day

id prob can this ad though... .039 is not good enough

Broheam, that means you'll need to be converting 1 in 2. Shit aint gonna, no fucking way.

3.55 def isnt just a generic zip or email submit. Its gotta be a few fields, unless its a penny stock offer or someshit like that.

Anyways broheam, bottom line is = higher CTR for cheaper clicks.

So yah, CTR is whats going to give you internet moniez or lose internet moniez. Atleast with my VERY limited fb experience this has been it.

Yeh starting to realize that .. was wondering because it was a zip offer if more would convert .. they're not lol

but that makes sense about the budget .. most of it was used up by 4pm.

(the traffic came back on)

and I've had about 32 clicks over 91k impressions, .035 ctr and $.91 avg. cpc with 0 conversions ...

.. oh well .. even tried including "*requires a zip code" in the ad, still no conversions lol (shrug)

thinking i would need a lower cpc for this to work

You need to start higher, it will lower later, don't touch created ads if it works fine, always create new one.
