FB ads ctr question

I really need some help or advice on how to maintain a steady facebook campaign. This is the second time this has happened. It starts out really good and a few days later it dies. I went from netting $1k+ a day to breaking even. I've tried changing up the pic and ad but it still has a horrible ctr. I'm thinking maybe my whole reach has seen the ad already but I dont think it would drop that fast. There must be something I can do. Has anyone else had this problem?

you arent netting 1k a day with those numbers. you are using only 1 ad? try a couple hundred or more

that screenshot is just for 1 ad and the demo is 434k. i've been testing about 30 ads in the last two weeks in 3 countries. i pause the ones that dont make money so only a few ads bring in most of the money. yeah i was making a lot but if you look at how much i've spent the last few days and how much i've earned it sucks compared to at first. any advice would be appreciated. this is killing me

well for 434k people 165 million impressions probably means everyone that is going to sign up... has signed up... expand your demo

edit: also 150k clicks... probably getting some repeat visitors expand your campaign...

whatever you're running find a similar offer

edit: jsp beat me to it^^

That seems to be a pretty good run for that size demo. If you look at your unique impressions and actual impressions, everyone's seen your ad a dozen times. Maybe I'm reading into that report wrong, but your decrease in CTR shows that as well. Solid work!

434k is a very small demo. fb users get banner blindness really quickly, and people snipe your ads/campaigns within a matter of days. Keep innovating, it's a tough business.

Ads get stale quickly, especially on FB. Make sure you're re-inventing different ways of stating your core message.

Also focus on conversion optimization post click...it's the best way to increase your ROI on an existing campaign.

If you're sending traffic directly to a 3rd party landing page, all you can do to increase profitability is increasing your CTR as you're already trying to do though unfortunately.

In this case, many more ads. Iterate off the most successful ones. Perhaps try targeting another set of demo's as well.

Take comprehensive notes on what's working with which targeting and expand your successful campaigns into more traditional media buys.

FB is like Google. They will take the side of the user (because that's where the real lifetime value is) over any advertiser.

Don't build your business on top of a sand castle imho.

Thank you, this was a great response

I have the exact same problem, posted about it in the main facebook thread here.

I can't really seem to figure it out.
