Facebook Social Ads

I'm not sure there is such a thing as "falling for it". I just did the same thing as bearded, got around the same min bid and refused by cutting the bid in half. Result ....very little impressions.

Nicky...I think you are in some sort of alternant facebook universe...where can I buy my ticket?

over the past few days i've had to raise bids in order to get same amount of clicks as in previous weeks regardless of my ctr...i'm a believer in competition tho...not everyone will be successful and only the smart & strong ones (wicked fire members) will survive...remember guys social ads is still very new and will continue to change during its growth...it's up to us to adapt accordingly

I'm still rockin it like I have been... I'm almost 100% sure they have a quality score because of what I've seen with some other accounts I manage. I had one account which wouldn't get hardly any impressions on ads, and I had to pay double or triple to even get a little.

I duplicated one of my ads, but it went to a different site for the redirect to the same offer. The only difference would be the domain and the fact that my site is a little mini site with 4 or 5 pages of unique content, privacy policy, contact, etc... and hers wasn't. It got about 4k impressions, with a .08 ctr (same as my ad) before it just died I would've lost money for sure if I raised my bid any more.

Back on my account, I've created a few new ads running the same offer and copy but with different pics. They still run great, but the ctr is lower (bad pics probably).

Stroz is right

Competition is EVERYWHERE......only a few have the capability of keeping up with it and/or staying ahead

This is why i tend to like competition in a sense because not everyone can pawn it.
But for sure like adjumpcm said a free ride is always a taker for anyone hehe =)

I would think affiliate products would work well to a TARGETTED group around this time of year. People are looking for gifts remember? Not completing cpa offers hehe Do your reasearch on that and use your imagination.

The end result is....if you can make 20$ for each sale you get through obviously you can afford a way higher bid for click =)

Man... I am seriously starting to develop a love/hate relationship with facebook.

My CTR's are high, my bids are high, and they haven't sent me any impressions or clicks since 3.30 am (10 hours ago). Someone explain to me WTF for and why.

*sigh*

well im sure if bids are high and ctr are high....then its a problem with facebook itself

Then on the other hand, theres the possibility that there are other people with campaigns much more higher in ctr and bids....

Is this coming from the ad with 1.03 CTR? Cause if thats the one in particular id heavily doubt ur way under to be having those results.

Goddamn facebook is annoyign me today. I made all new ads, new campaigns, everything. Facebook disapproved them all, even though they are identical to ads that were approved and running strong yesterday.

*sigh*

This defintely does not sound like noob territory. I want to jump in, but I am afraid I might not make it back! hehehehe
Great thread though!

I highly recommended it for n00bs while you're testing other stuff. Just make sure you spend no more than 5 dollars a day (lunch money) and play around with it. LIke others have said you have nothing to lose if no one likes it and only have to worry about conversions if people do click it and at that point you will have only spent 5 dollars. Not rocket science. Now just don't trip and wind up in the Design and Development section around here. Now THAT's not n00b territory. ;)

Dude, as much as I don't want more competition, you NEED to jump in. My first day I spent $10 as a test and made $60 back. Hmmm....

:)

Add me to AIM or whatever if you wanna chat FB. Since it's both the wonder and the bane of my existence right now it's all I can speak. haha
