Facebook Social Ads

Hey guys I'm new here, my first post - I've also had some luck with Facebook ads back when it was Flyers Pro, not so much now that it's changed lol.

What are you guys promoting that you're making any money?

I can't get anything approved anymore. They don't like redirects, they don't like pages that ask for contact info, they don't seem to liek anything I try to advertise.

Facebook really needs to get a support help line where you can call and bitch at them for being stupid crack smoking hippies that can't read.

God I'm pissed off at FB right now. I've spent well over $20k, and can't get these asses to even get on the damn phone.

$20K is penny's to them... good work though, glad to see u got a nice little campaign going!

I've told Facebook that I had 50k monthly budget to do ads, and after 3 weeks I finally got a callback.

I spent a good 20k on flyers in 1 month, so I figured they'd want to contact me but nope lol.

Anyway I finally got to talk with someone and they don't have better deals for people who have more moneyh to spend, in fact the price goes way HIGHER for corporations and companies.

I was talking with the agency that handles the Canadian advertisers though - might be different in the US.

However they don't do CPC advertising, they do CPM at a ridiculous rate - I think I figure it out to be about 60 cents a click with a decent CTR of like .2%

This question is for anyone who did Facebook Flyers Pro and had a balance transfer over to their new Social Ads system.

Did you get double charged?

I was doing loads of ads, and I had about $5000 worth of unpaid ads on my Flyers Pro account. When I switched over to Social Ads, they amalgamated my balance, but they double charged me!

What they did was include the Facebook Pro balance WITH the Social Ads balance. Then they ADDED the Flyers Pro balance again.

I only figured this out because I had only done $5 advertising with Social Ads because I couldn't get an ad approved, then the next day it said I owed them like 4k.

I looked and it said my Facebook Flyers Pro balance was $1900 and my Social Ads balance was $1905 and together it was like $3805. Those aren't the exact numbers but you catch my drift.

Anyone else notice anything like this? They pulled this shit on my partner's account as well, we didn't pay either of them, and I tried to contact them to straighten it out but no response.

ALSO I had a nightmare time with Facebook charging me way over the supposed $50 a day limit and showing fads I wanted canceled for 2 weeks after they were put up.

Their terms of service was weak at best for Facebook Flyers Pro, I have screenshots of everywhere that said "you won't be charged more than $50 a day" and there was no terms of service that you agreed to when submitting an ad. There was only a box that basically read 'you agree that your credit card will be charged'.

I estimate that Facebook Flyers Pro charged me about $10,000 more than what I should have paid because of all their incredible screwups.

Hell the worst thing is I created a fake account to put up an ad, and they canceled the account for being a duplicate WITH THE AD STILL RUNNING. There was no way I could shut it down and I tried and tried to contact them but no response...the ad showed for like 2 months and ended up costing me like $2000.

Anyone else have any nightmares with Facebook Flyers Pro like this?

If an ad is in pending review for an extended period of time, do you just dump it and start a new one or wait for the official ruling from facebook?

I think just wait, your new one should not get approved faster.

just an ad? Make a shit ton at time - every variation you can think of at the moment and set you bids at .01 and test a few at a time after they are approved and go through them all until you get one with a awesome ctr.

Well that's what I do.

I was making 4-5 at a time. Good advice of moving that to a 'shit ton'. More shots on goal the better.

I usually make one ad see if it gets approved, then make a shit load. Usually when I make a shit load they all get disapproved then I get 20 messages sent to my email and phone letting me know.

Can anyone help me out with this problem...

I have a dating ad that's killing it with .3 CTR and about 250% ROI. My AM told me the company's complaining because they're seeing affiliates not using the banners provided. Sorry but I can't get over .05 CTR with their shitty banners, esp competing against other ads with half naked women.

I'm wondering how could I run my runs, and hide it from the network and the company? Right now I'm using a subdomain, redirect from cpanel. I heard something about meta-refreshes. Anyone got any info?

That's a meta refresh
