It ran me up to my current limit of $750. After that payment clears they will probably move me up to $1000. For me my daily limits went up this way. $50, $100, $250, $500, $750.

For anyone that didn't know, there is a [?] next to your daily spend limit and it'll explain that you will automatically be bumped up to the next level with in 48hrs of hitting your limit in the following tier. $50 (start), $100, $250, $500, $750, $1000. Anything over $1000 you have to contact them. ;)

I've really only used their autofills, but that always seems to work well for me. Not sure if you can use your own.

The ebb and flow of facebook is pretty extreme. For example, the last 4-5 days I've gotten nothing, today here is my stat line:

Impressions: 2,755,379
Clicks: 5,034
CTR: 0.18
Avg. CPC: 0.15
Spent: 750.00

I haven't changed anything lately so trying to really figure this stuff out seems kind of futile, but I will tell you those numbers are off of ads I made early on, and definitely not my new ads that are getting absolutely nothing unless I start bidding $0.50+ to start.

Hope that helps,

that's pretty crazy,
this seems like it's gonna be a pain in the ass. But also seems like it can make some nice $$$...i hate those situations...

Facebook was a real gold mine 3 months ago...
About the daily limit, you can just run multiple accounts until you get a correct limit. I use 3 accounts since months with the same credit card, never had a problem even when I contacted their support to whine againt their approval policy.
Btw, if you want to stop running a campaign, put your bid at 0.01 instead of pausing or deleting it. Pause/delete can be effective more than 1 hour after you effectively did it (meaning you are paying for trafic ofc) but bid changes are recorded in less than 10 mins.
All in all, facebook ad model is really interesting (compared to other ppc), it just became very very expensive after being very very cheap. Profit is still possible though. It was really crazy 3 months ago, where you could target whole US pop and get thousands of clicks per day @ 0.10 or less =)
Last detail : human review ONLY happens when you launch the ad. I replaced the destination page of some of my ads weeks ago, never had a problem even if the new destination page would never ever pass the initial approval process. So, let's say you want to direct link to a zip submit.... just put up a landing page (snapshot the real page, photoshop it to remove the form, put that in a page, approved np), launch 10x the same ad (more trafic, more chances to get one with good ctr), replace your lp by a 301 redirect once approved, profit.

Yea, until FB reevaluates your ads (which they eventually do) and bans your account for fucking them around (which I've also seen happen). Generally, on FB, keep your hat white.

Well, maybe it will happen but I don't think so.
Facebook guys were agressive some months ago probably because their model was crappy and they were loosing money (or at least, not winning enough). With the current model, I suspect they win MUCH MUCH more than in 2007 so they don't seem to care anymore.
Anyways, I don't advice to do anything special, just talking about my experience and never had any warnings or whatever in months (= hundreds of ads and probably 10k+ $ spent).

It's not a "maybe", it's a "I've seen it happen to more than one person". Do what you got to do, but I will not be surprised at all when I see you bitching on this forum about how your (multiple) accounts got shut down.

If you don't really care if your account shuts down, by all means do it, but I know that FB won't be happy if (when) they figure out what you're doing.

No need for multiple accounts. Once you hit your daily spend limit you'll be bumped to the next level with in 48hrs with out having to do anything. The only time you need to contact them is once you hit 1000/day and you want to spend more.

i knew this bajillion page thread would bump its way back to the top.

where's nickycakes?

It seems that making money on facebook is strongly discouraged. My old ad that has been running consistently for months, finally got disapproved for absolutely no reason. I'm guessing they just didn't like the cheap clicks I was getting and wanted to put a stop to it because the bogus guidelines they set out as a reason had absolutely nothing to do with my ad.

Oh well, on to the next, I think I'm finally done with the FB experiment.

FB advertising is expensive as hell. It's sad when paying $0.35/click to advertise to a general, untargeted audience is normal.

Well, just leave facebook. If prices are that high now, it only means something : some people are ready to pay that price for clicks. If tomorrow nobody's paying that, then prices will decrease. And I agree with you, .35$ for shitty untargeted trafic from facebookers is not something i'm ready to pay, that's why I use less and less facebook except for old ads which are still alive with .15 clicks.
However, I'm sure there are people making profits even with .35 clicks.

Edit: about the relationship between bids and impr, that seems effectively crazy. I wonder if by bidding very high like 10$, you can effectively get 100% of the pages views in Fb. That would be fun. Anybody willing to try ? :o

$0.35/click is on the low end. Go create some ads for US/CA/UK... they are $0.40+!!!

As far as your second experient goes... hmm... I might actually try that and get back to you ;)

Is anyone else having issues creating ads today? Everything I put up gets disapproved (on ad terms 6 and 7)...it got to the point where I am re-creating ads that are already up and running, and they are getting denied too.
