Yeah there is a code in your email. I wonder if these codes are account specific. In other words can someone else redeem the code I got without installing the visa thing.

They're definitely account specific. I tried using somebody else's code and it said it was invalid or already used.

They disabled some accounts to not accept coupons. One of my accounts were disabled. They banned it I made a new account and used coupons. So kinda weird if they ban a lot of your ads they will link all your accounts together and ban them at the same time.

I have a survey offer I've been trying to get approved, and for the hell of it I made an ad that said:

Title: Fill out a survey.
Copy: Enter personal information and fill out a survey for surveycompany.com and get entered to win a gift card from some company.

It got denied with the BS about the ad copy doesn't represent the offer. Like what the fuck do they want now? It's annoying.

Has anyone had success with survey/freebie offers in the last few days??

I used to get around that with a simple landing page that didn't ask for anything, but that doesn't work now.

I've been doin FB ads for about 9 months now and actually made a living enough to quit my job with them (and other AM ventures) in March, but lately it's been more frustrating than it worth.

With surveys, supposedly they've not been allowing them for months, although of course some affs sneak them through. Check out this email I got from "Rose" @ FB in January (yes, January):

Hi Dave,

I'm very sorry for my previous miscommunication. We recently started
restricting survey sites from being advertised. I apologize for any
inconvenience this causes, however you will no longer be able to advertise
for this site. We appreciate your understanding of our policies.

Thanks,

Like, wtf. And this was after she told me that I could re-post the ads that were deleted, and then she now says that survey sites are not allowed.

Anyway, just wanted to chime in that I share in everyone's pain. I'll start contributing more.

Whoever wins at facebook are resilient fuckers. Facebook just accepted one ad one day, dissaprove it the next. The only ads I'm doing alright with are ads that I cannot submit again (the duplicates keep getting declined).

I guess they want people to advertise real products or services for sale. Instead of the contests and rewards offers. I had a survey going strong but the survey has expired.

They want facebook to be all "respectable" rather than the MySpace II that it really is. :D I'm pretty sure that getting a real product or service to that crowd is tricky as they are all apparently pretty much looking for easy money and an easy lay.

I've tried a few product and not 1 of them converted on FB traffic. Cheap bastards!

Dude, same here. I got 2 ads through a few days ago then wanted to send the same ones in as CPC instead of CPM. Everything else was the same and they've declined them twice. I'm almost hesitant to send them in again for fear they'll see the 2 that got through, even though they're legit.

I'd pay good $ to see the interface that the FB crew uses to accept/decline ads.

For example, what I'd like to know: when they look at ads, can they see all the other existing ads in the 'ad group'? Do they see any metrics on your account, i.e. success rate of getting ads through or length of time as an advertiser (perhaps to prevent fresh/duplicate accounts)?

Also (like many of you I'm sure) I track every click from a FB host/IP so I know when they review and click on my stuff. What annoys me even more is yesterday morning they declined about 5 ads without even clicking on them. Just based on sight alone - and they cited 8/9 which is the content is restricted. Uh actually it's not. Click on the damn link and it's just a blog.

Keep calm.. keep calm.. ;)

You're thinking too much. Once approved, your creatives are approved. I doubt they would go back into your account and disapprove them unless (i) someone filed a complaint; or (ii) there was a policy change. If they were able to view other existing ads in the group, then it wouldn't be the case that many have had an already approved creative disapproved when submitted again. When I was pushing things on Facebook, I had upwards of 30 creatives in a single group so it would be extremely time consuming for them to go through them. I have, however, noticed that my CPC dropped at times after they increased my spending limit. I'm not sure if that was based on the performance of the advertisements just prior to the spending bump though, so don't just take my word for it.

anyone notice you cant add a card today or edit a card to make it primary or remove it? This shit just caused one of my cards to get deleted from the UI

Glad to hear I'm not the only one experiencing issues.
Fun fact: If you have an ad saved up that had good CTR(I had some saved at .18% with a broad demo) and you re-enable them...they don't get impressions. You have to jump your bid up again.

Maybe I am confused, but I dont think this is right...

I have some ads that have been paused for about a month that have really good CTRs ( .20s ) and I unpaused them today at the same bid they were before and they are running fine with impressions and clicks.

can anyone verify the "add a new card" link is gone and so is the "edit card" link as well where you make primary or remove the card from the list?

Actually im experiencing the same..I unpaused my really old campaigns that i made 5 months ago. And i get double the CTR and CPC stays the same.

Yup... ad a card is gone. My campaigns are paused because of it too. Just when I was hitting 400% roi... dammit
