Hello everyone,

I'm trying to target specific one-word interests in facebook, but unfortunately their piece of shit ad-creation tool won't let me.

For the sake of argument, let's pretend that my keyword is "fishing". (Even though on FB if you type in 'fishing', that pops up as a viable interest to target). For some of the keywords I'm targeting, the 'suggestion box' that pops up under the interests contains only "fishing shows", "fishing hard", "fishing big fish" or w/e. The one-word interest "fishing" isn't available, and I *HAVE* to select only one of the suggested keywords. Talk about frustrating!

Is there a way to target specifically exactly what you type in, without having to choose from the suggestions? And/or is there a way to see a larger suggestion list from the keyword you type in? All help is appreciated!

EDIT-- To get an idea of what is happening, try to create an ad targeted for just "snakes". It always tacks on extra KWs ("Snakes on a plane", "snakes hate fire", "snakes ladders"). And don't try to tell me that not enough people have "snakes" listed as an interest in their profile :)

i would assume nobody (less then 20) has snakes in their profile...

try magnets or peoples knees

Edit: magnets is actually some peoples interests... next question... magnets how the fuck do they work?

Try using 'catching huge bass' and 'slapping trout around' and see if that works better for you.

Why don't you try and target fishing equipment brands, or something to do with boats or water in general.
