Never posted much in STS and it won't get more. Mods, you allow stupid jokes about niggers, jews and others, dickrolls and massive trolling of newbies. This is WF and it is what it is, no whining here.

But now people get banned just for criticising controversial decisions. Gotta love this bullshit... I'm back to the forum sections that don't waste my time. Mostly.

He didn't get banned for criticising. He got banned for being an insulting shithead who has never contributed anything meaningful here.

Regardless of the content, every mod here has consistently been treated with respect since I signed up, the one exception being Nicky, who was asking for it with LP Lockdown.

There is never a need, particularly if you are right, to attack someone personally like Russ86 did. Attacking someone personally like that is a sign of a weak mind and a weak argument.

I don't think Jon likes me (and frankly, I don't care) but if I was a mod (no interest), you would understand what true moderation terror was, because 50% of you would be gonzo for being losers, and it would be addition by subtraction (and long overdue) around here.

Insults and personal attacks on WF seem to be as rare as those "buy viagra cheap" spam mails in my mail account.
Not saying this is a good thing, but what should I make out of this ban? Use the same style to criticize mods and you'll get banned or what? Seems pretty random to me.

I'm just saying, be consistent with kicking people out. If personal insults, at least on a certain level, are against forum rules and result in getting your ass banned, than please do so every time this happens, not just here and there.

Also, no disrespect for mods, I know your job is difficult.

And, jokes related to races are not allowed anymore. Mods have started banning the people who make racist jokes already. Russ's ban was totally fair because he has been whining like a 5year old on every thread.

Dresden was obviously a special case, he was not just making jokes but heavily posting nazi propaganda. Not sure if the ban was a good thing since it somewhat undermines free speech, but it's understandable. At some point, enough is enough, and I don't know how I would react if I was in emps place.

Its good argument. Let everybody be one way or another, make it the usual way and then ban anybody you dislike justbecause he was that way which was tolerated here. Not fair.
