Using P2P to get traffic? I've never heard of it.

Do you mean things like uploading a fake "coolnewpopulargame.rar" with just an HTML file in it that automatically redirects people to your website?

thats genious, and u could just use a php script or something to copy the rar/zip file a hundred thousand times and each time rename it something from a DB with a list of words so ud get stuff like:

hot-scene.rar
cool-game-new.zip
etc..

you'd be bound to get soo many hits wow.. im doing this soon.

How would you use P2P to generate traffic unles you were spaming or sending fake files that contained nothing but a URL - in which case it would be considered spam?

Adult sites seed P2P with clips that bring visitors. If you have some of video or flash gaming site you could do the same. Obviously if you have a dull content site about something no one is searching for on P2P it will be a little more difficult. However, you could seed it with your own free ebooks. I believe Aaron Wall made a post about this a while ago.
