im lookin into paying my advertising costs with a credit card and then paying it off durin the first or second bill.. I was wondering does anyone here do this and if you do which credit card did you pick and why?

Hahah.

The AmEx plum allows you to pay in full on time and get 2% cash back (not bad) or defer 90% of your premium to the next month. However if you don't have their money the next month I think they behead you. Maybe a less rigid plan is the way to go, either way, its slippery slope, I hope the people who pay you are reliable :).

Don't make the same fuckin mistake I did dude. Unless you already have some seriously profitable campaigns, link your advertising accounts to a debit card.

Or magic. Either one.

Hey Boats,

For the most part any credit card that is new would be good because most new credit cards come with 0% interest for 6 months or so depending on the card. So as long as you profit you can pay it off at the end of each month and be fine. What I do recommend though is that if you do not know if you have a profitable campaign already, set yourself up on google with their prepay option, that way you stay within your starting budget and don't end up too deep in the hole if you're running a crappy campaign. This way you can make changes to it as you figure out what works and what doesn't.

*edit: Just before the interest free period is over if you still need to fund your campaigns using a credit card, go get a new one that you can transfer the balance to if there is a balance, so that you can still pay on that money with no interest. This should keep you going for awhile, but be very careful if you're not making any profit to pay them off.

Best of luck to you

-Jon
